The red skid plate looks really good from the front, surprisingly it can be seen without having to crouch down if you look from 50ish feet away. I unfortunately tested the functionality of the skid plate when I ran over a deer that someone had hit and couldn't see it in the road because it was dark. The skid plate enabled the car to slide over the carcas and antlers without destroying the underside of my car. The skid plate is now mangled so I have to replace it, which I am but with a natural finish this time.
