Good price, I bought it to play 1 game I have. It feels very much like an x-box controller but costs less. I have several red dragon products and am pleased with them all so far. I would recommend it.

I tested the Redragon RIFT G710 on PlayStation 3 playing Call of Duty Black Ops 1, 2, and Modern Warfare 2.I purchased this controller specifically because it was the only one I could find on Amazon for around $30 CAD that was compatible with PS3 and had FOUR (4) programmable rear macro buttons (most only have 2 at this price point).Unfortunately the macro buttons are too close together, placed too high up, and in an un-natural position to be effectively used. The buttons don't match up to where your fingers naturally rest when you grip the controller, making them difficult to find and press with separate fingers. They lack responsiveness, and are either too sensitive or not sensitive enough. They would either register too many inputs erroneously, or none at all, causing gameplay mistakes easily. The joysticks felt a bit laggy, at least the right stick did, and don't have the smoothness of the PS3's DualShock 3, or even the Gamesir T4 Pro that I use to play Warzone on PC.The ergonomics aren't bad, but since it's shaped slightly different than the Xbox or Switch Pro controllers, it's not as comfortable to hold as they are.The overall design of the controller is ugly. It uses Nintendo's button lay-out, with Xbox button colours (even though it's not compatible with Xbox) and does not correspond to the PS3 button layout. They should make separate versions for each of the consoles they support, instead of confusingly combining small design cues on one controller. The choice to use red accents on the left side of the controller makes it look like the red wore off on the right side, which gives it a cheap look.If you're looking for a controller that has 4 rear macro buttons and is compatible with PS3 & Nintendo Switch, this might be good enough as a back up controller, but is not adequate for a daily driver, and there are better options around this price point. You'd think after how far video game controllers & systems have come, that $30 CAD could get you a reliable controller with 4 properly placed rear macro buttons, especially when it's being used with the PS3 - a console that's almost 20 years old now.

I recently ordered the Redragon G710 Wired Gaming Controller for my son to use with his mini PC, and it has been an exceptional addition to his gaming setup. He primarily plays first-person shooter games, and this gamepad meets his needs perfectly. The dual vibration motors enhance the immersive experience, while the rapid trigger response ensures precise gameplay. Its ergonomic design keeps his hands comfortable during extended gaming sessions, and the 4 programmable keys, along with customisable macros, offer great flexibility. The adjustable joystick height allows for personalized control, making it even more versatile. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a reliable and high-quality gaming controller

Been using this a bit, seems to be working nicely! Will update this review if that changes.

This Rift G710 wired controller from Redragon is pretty decent, especially for the low asking price. I tested it out by playing a handful of retro games through RetroArch, on my Windows 11 PC. Some of the games I tried it out in are: Super Mario Bros 3 (NES), TMNT II (NES), Donkey Kong Country (SNES), and Mystical Ninja (N64). It performed admirably in all games, except for Mystical Ninja. A couple of the buttons kept giving me trouble. For example, holding a trigger is supposed to make your character lay down on the ground until you let go. However, the game would act as if I had pressed the button, instead of holding it. The other issue was when I would hit the attack button. Not only would the character attack, but they would also switch weapons/items at the same time. I usually can fix stuff like this by remapping, but that didn't seem to work.As for build quality, it's about average. Excluding the thumbsticks, everything feels kind of cheap. The D-pad and face buttons in particular are quite noisy. I do like how easy it is to switch the type of D-pad though, and the handles have a comfortable grip. I didn't mess with the adjustable thumbstick height, as I liked the default. Despite the minor issues I mentioned, I'd still recommend this Rift G710 wired controller.
