Your cart is empty.The REESE® Zion hitch mounted cargo carrier bag is designed to provide extra storage outside your vehicle. It’s made from black water-resistant PVC tarpaulin with sonically welded construction and features 20 cubic feet of capacity. The Zion cargo bag fits into and attaches to any hitch-mounted cargo carrier with six heavy-duty straps to keep it securely attached. To use the canvas bag, simply set it in the carrier you plan to use, unzip and pull the flap down, then load it up with the heaviest items first. Once you’re done and the hitch cargo bag is full, zip it closed, making sure the flap is pulled down so it covers the zipper and is sealed by the hook and loop closures. The Zion hitch cargo carrier bag also features a secondary zipper for those times when you need a little extra room

This bag is NOT waterproof. Advertised as waterproof. One of the first lines of the instructions says it is not. The other thing is that my straight out exhaust melted the securing buckles. One of the last instructions is to be sure that it is not in line with the exhaust. Otherwise the bag has done a great job to improve the storage of my car.

The seams, come undone easily, there was no glue used in the Seams. Fortunately it’s a PVC type of material so when they come, undone which they will you can use a PVC clear primer and glue. Also, the straps deteriorate quickly with contact to the sun. However, you can easily buy new straps and go all the way around and sinch it down. You get what you pay for.

I bought this for a 900 mile road trip and it served its purpose well. It even went through a downpour and all of my items remained dry. I do wish it was a bit more structured:

Worked great for securing the load as one unit because it is a nice thick material. Drove through a full 8 hours of rain and there was a small amount of water accumulation inside. I can only assume water is seeping in through the zipper as there is no material on the inside of the zipper seam. I read similar product reviews to find that this a common issue with these carrier bags so I did not put anything in that would be damaged by water. Otherwise great for keeping items clean of road dirt and secure to the carrier. Would recommend unless needed for keeping items dry through heavy rain.

I never write reviews, but I am so impressed with this bag. This bag kept all of our stuff dry through a 4 hour storm on the highway and a whole night of torrential rain. Buy this bag.PS the strap system is great if you tie the ends down to the rack. Improvise.

This is difficult to zipper and the overlapping seam is pointless unless it's completely full. The documentation that comes with this unit says in all caps that this unit is NOT WATERPROOF and waterproof containers should be used INSIDE this bag. What a waste of money.

It holds a lot. Straps and strap system don't make me very confident though (I could be wrong about the system, but straps should be better built for their purpose). I haven't used it enough to rate it in the weather and on several trips.
