Your cart is empty.Pair of Grade 8 hardened yellow zinc plated External Torx 2.5L engine (4 cylinder) starter bolts. Replaces Mopar J4006964 and 6035607. Grade 8 for high strength, yellow zinc plating gives excellent corrosion resistance and the E-torx head is upgraded from E12 to E14 to greatly reduce the chance of stripping the which plagued the OEM bolts. You won't find better. This is a specialized bolt and a standard bolt cannot be used in its place. The knurled section on the shaft increases the diameter of the bolt in that section for a tight fit and no vibration from the starter while at the same time minimizing the contact area so it will not seize in place. The E-Torx head is necessary because a hex socket will not fit in the tight space where the starter mounts. Fits: CJ7 and Scrambler 84-86, Wrangler YJ 1987-1995, Wrangler TJ 1997-2002, Cherokee XJ 1984-2000, Comanche MJ 1986-1992 and Dakota 1997-1999

I had to replace the stater on my 1998 Jeep Wrangler. The original bolts were pretty stuck on and beginning to strip. I purchased these to make it easier to remove if I ever need to change out the starter in the future. FYI, for some reason, they use an inverted hex head on these bolts. So you have to make sure you have the correct socket type and size when working with this particular starter.

It was time to replace the starter bolts on the old jeep. Found these on amazons' website and took a chance. They look exactly the same as the ones as in the picture. The are the same size and weight as the old OEM ones as well. I recommend these if you are in need of quality starter bolts for a 2.5L.
