I was very skeptical about this bit as it’s kinda been around for a long time and it’s big and ugly. But I finally caved and used it! I would highly recommend this bit to anyone having issues with a horse hitting barrels/ dropping into their turns. My gelding is very turny and this helps keep him square and get past the barrels! It has all the things, lift, woah and doesn’t make them too bendy!

I’ve tried several bits so far, but none worked very well for my horse. She tends to pull a lot on the bit and was not responding to her previous set. When i tried this bit on her, it was like a night and day difference! No pulling, no mouthing, gentle bit yet very responsive! I highly recommend this bit!

I am happy overall with this bit. It certainly adds flexibility through the shoulders, plenty of control.I am unhappy that the curb strap is rusting. We’ve had it 3 weeks. I would have paid more for stainless steel.This may be common knowledge for some but as newbies to speed you must use a tie down with this bit.Using one is not necessarily a ‘hole’ in the training.I would have liked copper rings on the dog bone mouthpiece. My horses like them and it’s a nice touch since horses get excited playing games.
