Our kid asked for this and we saw a set at Tractor Supply, but weren't fans of the high price tags and low durability of the toys that we tried from there last year. $25 seems like a good price for a special RC of this kind. The bucket and other parts of it are like actually metal, which is pretty cool. It's kind of a pain to set up for the kiddo. They sent 2 batteries, which is awesome. But.. it's kind of annoying to remove the tiny screw and fiddle with that rechargeable battery pack and put it all back together, then make sure I've got the other pack charging. I really prefer the RCs that just have a slide off panel that houses a usb charger you can unroll and plug into any outlet charging block with usb receiver accompanied by a remote you simply pop the back off (no screws) and change the batteries occasionally--those are so much simpler. The continuous sound of the toy is LOUD and really irks me, even after taping over to muffle the volume. And the vehicle moves great and operates super well unless it moves onto carpet. We encounter a lot of the track sliding off and have to keep resetting it onto the vehicle. Kid loves it, nonetheless.

Good RC toys are expensive, but this one isn't! It's not perfect by any means but my daughter loves it! Her brother has a bigger one with a more complex control scheme, but the simplicity of this one makes it perfect for younger ones.It is sturdy enough to be left in the hands of a kid, but I still remind her from time to time: don't play where adults walk and it should last a long time. She exclusively uses it in the house with a small quantity of kinetic sand so I guess it's easier on the toy than playing in the sandbox outside!Batteries last long enough but you have to use a screwdriver every time you switch batteries or charge them.

This RC excavator toy looks like an exciting choice for kids who love construction vehicles! The 680-degree rotation and realistic movements make it super fun to operate. The metal shovel adds a nice touch, and the two rechargeable batteries keep the play going longer. It’s well-designed, easy to use, and can handle different terrains. Definitely a great gift for young builders who enjoy hands-on fun!

My nephews love excavators and this one has a surprising amount of functionality for something this cheap. There is a fun demo mode too so as soon as you unbox it and put batteries in you can press that and the boom will spin around, and extend/retract the arm/bucket. Very mobile and my first time playing with a tracked rc vehicle, it's great.

My 4 year old grandson and my 5 year old grandson just loved this excavator they are both in to construction toys and was well worth the money solid battery life stood up well was very function able they had hours of fun with this it is very durable had a couple falls of a 4 ft table never broke

Grandson enjoyed this excavator and how you can dig and dump with it.Good quality, but do not leave it out in the rain. We will get several seasons out of it.

This excavator is fun and easy to use. It comes with rechargeable batteries and a remote that can easily be held by children. It reminds me of the heavier trucks from back in the day which means it will last a long time. The size is just right and the design is accurate.

My young son received this and there was a piece that didn’t work. They were very quick to respond to send him out a new one and it works perfect! He’s very happy to play with it finally, fun toy for 6 year old and good value.

This remote control excavator toy is great for kids, with a metal shovel and 680-degree turning feature. The lights and sounds add extra excitement, though the controls can be tricky for younger children.

Before I wrote this review, I reviewed the Product Description, and I have to say it is pretty accurate. Many of these types of toys have pictures for them that make them look much bigger than they are, and they don't even include the actual measurements. The description for this toy is honest, and the main point I'm making is that it is smaller than I was expecting it to be, but you can see this for yourself on one of the pictures. So, once I got past the small size of the toy, I started playing with it and found it to be pretty cool.The excavator moves forwards and backwards, and when it goes backwards it makes the common beeping sound that trucks make when backing up in real life. It also makes some other general 'construction noise', which is a bit odd, like a gritty gear turning type of sound, but the good thing is that you can turn off all sounds with the push of a button on the remote. The cab of the excavator also rotates around, and like the product description says, it can go '680 degrees'...What they mean is that you push a button, and the cab rotates around ALMOST twice, until it gets to a point where it stops and then makes this sort of clicking sound that tells you it won't go any further. It does this either way you rotate it. The claw of the excavator extends and retracts, in the motion needed to scoop up something and then the opposite way to drop it, with the push of 2 different buttons. Overall, all of the controls are very simple and easy to operate.The excavator IS smaller than I was expecting, but they do clearly advertise this if you look at one of the pictures, and it does work well, so for the most part it is a cool toy at a decent price of $25. The reason I took off a Star is because the cab of the excavator is solid enough, and the claw and bucket are adequate, but for some reason the tracks don't seem to be of the same quality as the rest of it and feel a bit flimsy/cheap, and I'd worry that they won't last as long as the rest of the parts.
