Bought this to replace my smoker's original thermometer that was no longer giving accurate readings. This was easy to install, and looks just like the original. Cable was just as long as original, too.Working great so far!

Unfortunately I couldn't return this temperature probe because I installed it after the 30 day return policy. the installation went smoothly, and I was anxious to have a built-in temperature probe again after my original had gone bad long ago. But alas, when I set smoker temperature at lowest setting of 225 deg., the probe temperature was rising over 300 deg. before I decided to place it outside the smoker unit to cool it off and see if it would read the outside ambient temperature. But...no matter what I did, the LOWEST temperature it read was always 145 deg. ! So, I received a totally DEFECTIVE probe....Argggh !
