First and foremost, the product being sold is used. Don't think you're getting a brand new drive for a console that's been discontinued for 8 years by now. There's always risk associated with a used product. When my drive arrived, it was defective. That's how it goes. Contacted the seller and they were very responsive, remedying the issue immediately. The replacement they sent worked perfectly, and I now have a functioning XBox 360 once more!

It arrived early, however it was defected, the "door" where the disc is to go into wouldn't open.

we had a good friend of ours install this on an 08 model console, a movie worked because we tried that it was a former friends console but after said people picked up the "fixed" console they waited 48 to test it all for us to be told it supposedly wouldnt play games and there was a huge blow up and we lost friends over this when we were rushed to find the part in the 1st place. i dont know what could have went wrong i just know for us this didnt work and i wouldnt recommend. i wish i would have none it wasnt going to work especially after spending over 40 dollars all for it to not work and cause a HUGE blow up fight between people.

The drive wasn't new and was missing screws that hold the logic board in place. Since there were missing screws they added hot glue to hold it in place, this caused the board to sit higher then it should have. After removing all the hot glue/excess flux from the board, I reinstalled the board and added the missing screws, the drive functioned properly

It was shipped quickly, and was exactly what was advertised. But this product needed internal cleaning and a rubber piece had to be replaced. All easy to repair and the main hardware was in perfect condition. Overall, B-.
