Doesn’t come with batteries. Put in batteries and immediately worked with my fireplace. I’m beyond impressed. No need to pair it or rewire anything.

So excited that this works so great! Just popped in a couple of AAA batteries and aimed it at our fireplace and it worked like a charm. Was concerned we would need to program it but no need to do anything like that. So simple. It's a bit thicker than the one that came with our unit and contoured to your hand - I thought it might look "boxy" but that's not the case at all - very nice, functional product. Thanks!
