Tips: The probe plug is 3.5MM, please make sure that your barbecue grill jack is the same size before purchasing.
FEATURES OF PROBE.
- Stainless steel cable is 4.1 feet (1250mm) long.
- Probe is 7 inches (178 mm) long and has a probe tip to R angle of 6 inches (153 mm).
- Probe diameter of 0.2 inches (5mm), and a probe tip of 0.4 inches (10mm).
- Plug has a diameter of 3.5mm (0.14inches) and a length of 0.55inches (14mm).
- Probe can withstand temperatures up to 1000°F (500°C).
- Stainless steel cable can withstand temperatures up to 718℉（380℃).

4 years into smoking, the included temperature probe started drifting too hot. When the probe read 160F, the actual temperature was around 145F using 3 other thermometers. Cleaning didn't help. I replaced it with one of these and the temperature readings all match within 2-3 degrees F when checked in ice water and boiling water. I know Pit Boss will probably replace the original since it's still under warranty but these were delivered overnight and are so inexpensive, I could use the spare as a backup because these probes are expendable items and 3-4 years of regular use inside the smoker will take it's toll.

My pellet grill only came with 1 probe, but had ports for 2. I ordered these because the price was much better than the Pit-Boss branded ones and hoped for the best. These probes work perfectly. I hooked up the probe my smoker came with in 1 port and one of these in the other and shoved them both together into a brisket. Both probes were within a few degrees of each other throughout the smoke. Satisfied that they are accurate I use whichever are clean at any time - I can't tell these apart from the original one.They also come with a pair of nice little clips that pop into your grill in case you want to monitor the ambient temp. For things like sausages I find it really handy to have multiple temp readings so I know what is going on across the grill. I can have these in opposite corners at grill level, the smoke box temp that is all the way to one side and the built in thermometer in the lid. This lets me know where my hot spots are and move things around accordingly.Would definitely buy again.
