If you do not heat these before trying to bend them into your fins, you will crack them. Heating them and then placing them into the fins will stop this cracking. I would recommend placing a hard item the size or tad larger, I used a pint mason jar, to keep the shape until they cool down.

These were identical in shape to the original ones that came with my Oceanic fins, only these were a harder plastic. You would think that's better right? It's not. They are so rigid, that it is cracking along a seem down the middle.

I am Med - Large in fins. I bought these and the after a blow drier I was able to bend them enough to get them in my partners XL fins. I would only recommend them for an XL fin.

So, I should have read the fine print, but seriously.....who buys a single fin insert? It's well made, but over priced for a single insert :(
