Handle only has a small bit of the shaft inside it, is not a snug fit and feels very lightweight and cheap. Do not expect it to last very long. This seems to be a common problem with replacement tool handles which is disappointing especially because if you are bothering to replace a handle you are probably looking for durability and for quality handle for existing quality head.

+ve. The wooden part of the handle was reassuringly straight and difficult to drill through and shape to fit my fork head. (It should be difficult!)–ve. The plastic D handle was a poor fit to the handle and fastened with a single, puny rivet. It waggles as if it means to fall off at any moment.•I would by this product again but I would order a better handle too.

The handle was exactly what I wanted. It fitted my stainless steel spade head perfectly. It was easy to fit and was alot cheaper than others advertised. I know have a perfectly good digging spade for a fraction of the cost of a new one.
