Yaesu supplies with the handheld radios (e.g. FT-5DR) a belt clip that is very similar to the iFREQTECH product. But the mounting point is different.In short the Yaesu clip has the mounting holes below the hinge pin, while the IFREQTECH clip has the mounting holes above the hinge pin. Does this matter? If you are not using a desktop charger, the answer is this does not matter the clip will work just fine. But given the IFREQTECH's clip is shifted down towards the bottom of the radio, the clip interferes with the desktop charger.Thus if you are using a desktop charger, purchasing the Yaesu belt clip is the best solution. Otherwise there is nothing wrong with the IFREQTECH clips.

The only thing I see different between theses & oem clips is the hinge pin end stamped & flared.Would buy again.

Hope this helps ...2 screws that go through the clip to attach it to the belt holster for the Yaesu ft5D, I decided to gently drill out the holes using a 3/32 bit because of such a tight fit. Without doing that, you would probably strip the screws heads trying to run it through (like I almost did!).This turned out to make it sooo much easier running the tiny screws to 'bite in' to the re-drilled holes and secure the clip.Otherwise, good product.

Nice clips, but beware if you use a rapid desktop charger the clips are too long and will not allow the battery to fit into the charger. (FT5D)

The clips are solid and secure on the batteries I use for the ft1, ft2, ft3, and ft5... but the hinge is set up opposite from the yaesu clips. The result is that these clips have to be "opened" before a radio (or battery) fits in a charger.Clips do work great for carrying radios etc. No issues there at all.

These are so much better than the clips that came with the extra batteries I purchased for the FT3DR. I've no idea why the clips on the batteries were crap, and not the one that came with the main battery. However, that's the case. So, if you want to fix it, buy these. They work great. Perfect fit. Makes my radio a lot less frustrating to carry on a belt or clipped to a bag or something.

These don't have quiite as good of a spring as the stock clip but they better than the ones that come with the replacement batteries..
