This plug works just like the worn out one it replaced. Cheap fix for a good smoker I’ve had for 15 years.

The knob on my element broke and this worked just fine. I tested it and the temp got up to 360 which is nice when you want to clean out the smoker.I am not sure how it will hold temp but did put it in a random setting and it seemed to hold. The Analog smoker changes anyway when cooking due to other reasons.

DO NOT BUY. This is not a suitable replacement to the OEM thermostat. Maximum temperature was 225 without anything in the smoker. Then…two hours into an eight pound brisket smoke, IT DIED ON ME! Unfortunately, living on Guam, Masterbuilt does not ship here.

I was given an older Masterbuilt smoker, the one that looks like a safe.All it needed was the thermostat cord.I read the reviews, and several stated that this one wouldn’t heat up past 250 degrees.I was okay with that, knowing that I was only going to be smoking low and slow in my smoker.If you need to go higher, consider the OEM product.If not, this is a cost effective way to smoke your meats.
