The Sanitaire impeller broke apart but the Amazon one is very durable. If you accidentally suck up an screw it takes it in stride.

My vacuum sort of exploded when I ran over a screw with it. I then found a YouTube video for my exact vacuum that is at least 25 years old but it showed me that this is the piece that was broken. So I ordered it and followed the YouTube instructions to fix it and it works perfectly now. So glad amazon on this piece.
