My 11 year old nephew is a war history fan and really wanted these. I was hesitant at first because of the price, but I am happy with the purchase because it looks authentic and the kid was overjoyed

Back doesn’t protect from sun though. Always leaves the back of the neck exposed. Not real looking for that reason only.

This cap is instantly recognizable to WWII history buffs, and the design has stood the test of time. It's two layer twill which is amazing for the price. This is a fully functioning hat - I can't stress that happily enough. It has a unique shoelace and grommet size adjustment in the rear- i wear a hat size 7 1/4 and it fit great. The three 'havelock' flaps do a great job blocking the sun, and two grommet vents sit high on each side. Yhe bill is not as long as a baseball cap which I found practical. Faux leather band above bill actually adjusts to help the fit. The shade panels cannot be tucked up inside the cap. The color is that almost-mustard of the original. I bought it for working hours in the sun at a time and it's been worth every penny, and only history buffs will know it's not just a clever hat.
