I wasn't 100% certain that this product was going to be the right fit for me when I ordered it. I'm over 50 years old, and I have never seen anything like this particular product. It is lightweight, made with plastic, yet it is durable and will support a person weighing up to 400 pounds. I weigh 185, so I feel very secure when I sit down on it. I have some friends who weigh between 350 and 375 pounds, so I had to see if this stool would actually support them. It did support them, and the stool didn't appear to be stressed in any way. When the stool is completely closed, it is small and so easy to carry wherever I go. It is quick and easy to open and close. The stool can be opened to whatever height that you want or need it to be. I have started taking it with me everywhere I go, just in case I get tired of standing up. I have never owned any type of stool, chair, foldable seat, etc. that is so convenient to carry and so convenient and easy to use anywhere and everywhere. I really am loving this stool. Friends, family members, and strangers all react positively when I pull the stool out and use it. I have yet to hear a negative comment from anyone when I use the stool. Everyone is in awe for a short time, and then they tell me how neat and cool the stool is, which I also believe. I like how I can use the stool on any surface and have no problems. I am looking forward to using it in my garden. I'm getting too old to constantly bend in my garden and many other places as well. To me, this stool is more than worth the money that it costs. I am so glad that I took a chance and ordered this stool. It has been so much better than I ever imagined it would or could be. Obviously, I recommend the stool for anyone and everyone.

Crazy cool, lightweight, portable, unique-style stool for toting around. Ok, I may be late to the party but when I first saw these stools available for review on the Vine program I was intrigued. I'd never seen anything like it before and immediately thought "well, I for one would love to read the reviews on this little contraption." It arrived quickly, was packaged fine, and kinda sorta easy to figure out. I tentatively took that first plunge and decided to test it out by sitting on it once I pulled it and adjusted it to the tallest level. Honestly I didn't 100% trust this lightweight, questionably constructed type of stool so I put it near a table so I could catch myself if it gave way to keep myself from plunging to absolute guaranteed tailbone doom. Now I'm not that heavy at around 140 lbs but still, I want to keep my tailbone and spine intact but surprise surprise! It held me just fine. It seemed to be sturdy although super lightweight so I can see how this could be a perfect companion to have with you in your vehicle when you maybe want to sit by a scenic spot but don't have a blanket and don't want to get your bum dirty or damp. Maybe you want to have a picnic or lunch and just need a place to rest - it works. You're an aunt or grandparent and never know when those grand babies are gonna invite you to come watch a soccer game or tag along with them to the park. With this you're not looking around for a place to park your hiney when they wear you out. While I'm still not completely sold on the sturdiness and longevity of this product I am interested in using it to test it for the next year or so. As an introvert I wish it was not such a flashy mix-mash of colors and patterns. It already is something that you'll probably be asked about, and with catchy fun colors like pink and mint you're bound to get the looks and questions. It's certainly cool looking, and is very lightweight. I like it and found it easy to use. If one of the "catches" that holds it happens to break - there are, I believe, 9-10 other ones around each level so hopefully the others would prevent any total collapse. Its adjustable for the height too so little ones could be made comfortable too by having a place to sit as well.

This is a very versatile and sturdy stool that stores down small for easy storage. The provided instructions on the box tells you everything you need to know on how to use it, and playing around with it for a couple minutes teaches you the rest. When fully shut, the stool can be locked shut by twisting the bottom with two fingers. The lock is very tactile and snaps in/out of place with no play.Pulling apart the stool is fairly easy with two hands in the finger holes on the top/bottom. However, it is hard to do so with one hand as you need a firm grip on both ends to open/close and it is hard to do so without the finger holes. I was not able to do it with one hand on the top and my feet pressing on the bottom so I had to pick it up and do it with both hands. If the bottom of the stool is dirty (camping, outdoor use), you can get your hands dirty opening and closing this stool. The height of the stool is fully adjustable and the process intuitive after a few uses. As you pull the stool open, rotate it to lock each section. The feeling of the sections locking is very noticeable and you just need to count out the number of clicks to determine how tall the stool will be.For $30, this is a bit expensive. There are many other products of the exact same design on Amazon which go for $25, $20, or even $15. Some of the cheaper alternatives do seem to be thinner/smaller or made of flimsier materials, however.
