I was rather disappointed with this product. I was led to believe there were 2 of these in the package based on the pictures. There isn't, there was only one. I was also led to believe this was metal. The clip is metal, but I thought the Iron Man head would be metal too. It's not, it's plastic. Which I guess is a good thing because it's HUGE. If it were metal, it would be so heavy I could use it as a weapon. I use it anyway to hold my work keys and badge, and just clip it on my purse strap. But I wish it had been what I was led to believe it was.

The clip attaches to my pocket and stays well. My badge stays put and will not fall out due to nice tight fit. I would recommend this badge or ID holder.

I bought this to replace another reel I wasn't happy with. This has a nice pull and retraction, and it is long enough to reach the areas you need to. I find I can hook it on my front belt loop and then take the reel and place it in my pocket. That way it doesn't jingle and I can pull it out whenever I may need it. The only complaint I have is that in the ad there are TWO reels plainly pictured, yet you only get one. I realize the summary says one piece, but it just feels a bit like they are being deceptive. Since you are getting one, the picture should show one. Other than that, this is a great reel and you will not be disappointed.

So the first thing that is important to note here is that any resemblance to a trademarked character here is strictly a figment of your imagination, and a picture of a mask on the box with a eye lit up is purely coincidental. Iron-ic, one might say. Now that we have that firmly established, the belt clip is metal and the holding spring very tight. It's a little difficult to get off and on the belt loop, but that's what you want. The spool holder (aka: the part with the face) is plastic and the weakest part. It's not going to break by looking at it, but if you're working construction or someplace where it might be hit heavily it could shatter. Normal every day usage should be fine. The keyring is metal. You have to supply your own badge holder, but the snap to fasten it on is tight. And although they have two pictured, you're only going to get one. Be aware of that. You are ordering ONE retractable badge holder, not two. But it comes in a rather cool box. For my day-to-day retail use it works fine.

Got this to use for a work fob so that I wouldn't have to be digging through my pockets every time I needed to get it out. It works great!Pros+ Function. The reel works very well. Smooth pull and retraction. The clip is easy to get on and off a belt loop before and after work. The keyring works with the fob. It also includes a snap that can work for ID badge type access.+ Design. The iron patriot design is pretty cool. Gives a nice touch that the kids notice at work.+ Weight. The reel doesn't weigh down your pants hardly at all. Wasn't sure how heavy it would be because it looks like it's all metal. It's mostly plastic, so it's only about half a pound or so.Cons+ My only complaint is that it is quite a bit bigger than I imagined. The reel is almost the size of the palm of my hand. It can be a little bulky for getting through tight places like storage closets or crawl spaces. Have to be careful not to catch it on anything and break it.

Doesn't hold a lot of weight, and is kind of obnoxiously large. It's a neat novelty item, bit not good for anything other than that. It's too huge to use as a badge holder
