Outstanding set. Works really, really well. Taps straight without breaking tools.

This is a really easy to use tap handle set, It's very strong, so strong in fact, it's easy to break a tap, so be careful and don't over drive the tap. Otherwise it's a nicely packaged set. Worked very well

the tool works well and should garner a 4-5 star rating. the 3 star is due to lack of completion in design. parts adapters interchange and fit into tool ratchet handle to hold desired tap, the downside 3 star is that once you get adapters stacked, they don't "lock / snap" in and hold to the tool so you're juggling a bit to keep everything together using, rachet handle has a nice adjustability spread for more leverage, ratchet is a fine tooth movement, overall happy with the tool just wish they have put the extra 8% into design finish, yes/would purchase again for the price

The "extendible" handles are a nice idea -- except, as soon as you turn the handle to an oblique angle, the handles will "slide" back to the short position. The detent that holds them extended is not nearly robust enough to keep the handles extended if you are actually putting enough torque on the system to justify extending the handles! The lock ring for holding dies (and adapters) in place does not have nearly enough "thread" to do its job! In use, the ring kept coming loose and the whole assembly would get wobbly.A good Retention Ring and a "Push Button Lock" for keeping the handles extended would go a long way toward making this tool the superb device it ought to be!Sadly, I am sending this one back and looking for another alternative....

I like this tap handle, it is easier to hold and keep center than others. I don't like the fact you can't not use it in ratchet mode. If you need to back off a tap, for example, it is a pain. For spiral taps though it is not an issue. NOTE! As others mentioned instructions not really included and if you don't look at the product pictures you will miss how to properly, securely, assemble the tap. Pay attention to the pictures you can lock the tap adapter in (by default it will not hold) if you first remove the collar then make sure it is tightened down properly on it.The handles not being fixed but sliding is mildly annoying but overall I find it to be a great step up from most and worked with the dies we had. It is what I grab first when going to tap something and does solve the highly annoying thing where your tap falls out of many others. I think you get better control too as it is symmetrical. I think for using the dies the ratchet function also nice to just be able to turn back and forth. The case is nice as well.

This tap wrench is helpful tool to have around It's definitely more powerful and easier to use than a standard wrench especially for those tough to turn taps I like that it's retractable so it's compact for storage the only thing is the handle is a little short which can make it a bit awkward to use for larger jobs but overall it's a good product and it's definitely come in handy for a few projects around the house.

Over the years of being a DIY a homeowner and self-proclaimed auto mechanic fix everything guy I have had my fair share of tap and die sets now all I have left are drawers full of TAPS and dies and no handles I usually am using channel locks or vice grips or Chuck in an advice for use even adjustable wrenches on occasion I had been looking it's some of the high and name brand sets and the prices would just astronomical needlessly when I came across this for its size and functionality it was perfect for my needs when it arrived I was pleasantly surprised at how well it was built now mind you I'm a DIY and I'm not a pro mechanic by any means but I fixed more than my fairshare here and for others I found this ratchet handle to be well made strong enough for me to put my entire weight on it without damage at all. It stores down into its own case which would be the perfect size to keep in my drawers with all my assorted taps and dies the functionality for me it's perfect not only does it hold the die but the tap in a very hand friendly ratchet handle and was less than half of the name brand one I had been looking at so as far as I'm concerned the bank for your buck is great the functionality is top-notch and the fact that it stores down in its own case not to be lost with all the other stuff is a plus I can honestly say I would wholeheartedly recommend this to any DIY or home mechanic who has lost the handle for their tap and dies and is looking to upgrade a little bit from vice grips and channel locks they are currently using
