These cards worked to protect my credit card from being scanned! When I went to pay with my credit card today, I held this card next to my credit card (on the opposite side of the scanner so I could tell if was actually working), and it the scanner couldn’t read my card; It displayed an error that it couldn’t read my card.

Advantages: protects credit cards from RFID and NFC readers. Only one needed per wallet.Disadvantages: adds one credit card thickness to wallet.Experimental Procedure and ResultsAndroid Test AppsTested using the RFID reader apps “MIFARE Classic Tool” and the NFC reader app “NFC Tools”, both downloaded from the Google Store onto my Android phone in June 2024.WalletMy test leather wallet had two credit cards and one ATM card (with chip). Only one of the credit cards had the NFC “tap to pay” symbol. Both the credit cards were read by both apps when placed directly against the phone. Neither read the ATM card. When the cards were inside the wallet (credit card without NFC symbol closest (about 3 mm) to the surface, both apps read the closest card. When the “blocking card” was placed between the surface and the top credit card neither app read a card. When the blocking card was placed on the other side of the wallet (about 25 mm away) still neither card was read by the app.PassportTested with US Passport. A single card, positioned at the top or bottom of the passport, behind either the front or back cover did not prevent RFID detection.ConclusionsIn conclusion, the blocking card appears to do what it says – protecting credit cards against NFC and RFID readers within 25 mm (1 inch). It did not claim to protect passports, and did not. Both supplied cards were evaluated and behaved similarly.Note that this was tested with a cell phone. A specially designed hacking device might perform differently.

We sent this blocking card to our youngest son who moved to the "big city" and he says it's not bulky and he hasn't had any $ scammed yet. He said he tested tapping a card with it on the card and it didn't "take".Nothing is 100% but . . .

I really like that these RFID blocking cards are in card forms. They fit in my wallet with no problems, while sometimes when you use the RFID sleeves you have a hard time getting the cards in the slots of the wallet. I like that they look just like cards just a little thicker.

On the heavy side but that also means quality. Only marked down a start as I feel they are pricy for what they are

Fits it well with my credit cards. same size and shape. And nicely flexible. I tested it out by placing over my credit card and trying to to use the wireless NFC to pay for an item. The card reader said it detected to cards! I don't know what that means. Does it means it could read my card? I don't know. I was hoping it would detect nothing - but something was detected. SO I can say it prevented the card reader from reading my credit card. You get two cards so you can protect both sides of your favorite card.

With all of the theft of data online and in real-world scenarios (which I have personally been a victim of numerous times), I now invest in every tried and true method to protect myself online and offline, digital and physical. From Faraday boxes and bags to hardware authentication devices and other techniques I refuse to mention, I found no such thing as overkill regarding protection in our modern world. An RFID Blocking Card was the only thing I had yet to procure, but it had weighed heavily on my mind as someone had compromised one of my cards recently (and it is a card I keep in my safe when not in use and had not used in three months prior). I took a chance on the XENLYN GEAR brand and am happy I did. Utilizing NFC Tools, I scanned various credit and debit cards in my wallet and detected them all. Next, I placed one RFID Blocking Card on the opposite side of my holder (the furthest away from any card), and it could read none of them. Simply removing the RFID Card and keeping it nearby was enough to protect my wallet. Even if it were 8-10 inches away (in my hand), it still scrambled the signal. Only when it was a few feet away was any card reaccessed. The product is remarkable. I showed it to a friend by swiping my phone next to their wallet, and the detection was immediate. When I placed the RFID Blocking Card underneath (not even in their purse), it blocked the ability to read any card information. We live in a world where we must give our most personal information for the simplest everyday tasks, which comes at a steep price. Well, $4.99 for two of these blocking cards is a minimal amount to pay to protect yourself from the violation and headaches of card theft. I cannot recommend them enough. 5/5 (definitely).
