It took me and my 9 year old about 4 hours I let him do alot of the work. but the fit of the bottem of the tail is bad very bad not water tight at all. You cant see it but i know it's there I'm going to get some black rtv and seal it up the instruction are very broad in some parts.Take your time dont snap any faering parts. But if you fancy your self handy you can do this no problem. It's really the only thing out there for these bikes. overall I'm happy with this. I also dropped in a smoked LED break light and kept my OEM turn signals looks great. Also the LED plate light had the wire color reversed switched it and it worked fine.

I bought this as its the only kit available for the 2015 CB500F and its a bit disappointing. There are large gaps under the tail where the provided seal does not meet up with the frame. The bolts are for use with a counter sunk hole but the holes in the kit are not counter sunk so they stick out quite a bit, had to counter sink them myself to get it to fit right. The instructions are trash also.At the end of the day it does look better than the stock tail but its just not a good kit. If you have a 2016+ model year there are better options so avoid this one.

The fit and material quality is not great but acceptable. The reviews stated the instructions were bad, but I tried to follow them to see just how bad they were and they're referring to things in color on postage stamp sized grayscale photos taken with a low quality camera phone. The photos are not even useful as a general reference since they're so close to whatever they're trying to show you that you have no idea where on the bike that bolt or bracket is located. The whole kit ends up coming together and looking pretty decent except the bottom metal plate doesn't sit flush to the bottom, so you're going to get more water in places the stock tail assembly sealed, like around the taillight and the under passenger seat storage. Also my kit had a dead license plate led light that I'll be messaging the seller to see if they will replace.Edit: seller immediately sent a working license plate light, added a star just for that.

Regret ever buying this. I should’ve just kept it stock. Did everything, but as I got to the last part, it doesn’t even fit. Waste of time and money. Your better off just leaving it stock honestly. At this point I’m just disappointed in myself for ever considering this. Now I have to ride my bike without the bottom piece!!

Vorweg muss ich sagen dass das Teil passt und auch recht gut aussieht. Ich persönlich hätte mir einen agressiveren Winkel gewünscht (Winkel ist fast der gleiche wie vorher). Das Problem an der Produkt ist, dass die Anleitung unbrauchbra ist (Kleine Bilder in schlechter Auflösung), und dass man leider einen Teil des Originalen Heck abtrennen muss. Hierbei handelt es sich zwar nur um ein Stück welches den Originalen Nummernschildhalter fixiert.

This was a great kit and made my bike look much better. I heard some reviews saying that it had poor fitment. A little bit of bending and mine fits like factory. I would definitely recommend this kit.

Very good product that makes the bike look so much better than the stock fender on the bike. OEM taillight and turn signals mount without too much trouble. WOULD RECOMMEND WATCHING A VIDEO on how to install this since the instructions are worthless, but it's not that hard to figure out if you don't want to. Something to note is that when cutting the metal frame on the rear of the bike, that you want to cut it a little higher than the bolt holes that you will leave on for mounting the kit, otherwise you will have a bit of difficulty putting the cover plate on. Another thing to note is that the holes behind where the nuts for the license place light would hit are not big enough for the nuts to sit in snugly, so you will probably want to drill them out a bit to allow the nuts to fit inside properly. And lastly, when connecting the wires for the license plate light, despite what common sense would have you think, you will want to connect the black wire to the red wire instead of black/black or red/red. Whoever wired the supplied harness didn't know what they were doing or didn't care so the wires are reversed and if you try to install them like they should be, then the light simply will not work.

I'm giving this four stars simply for the horrific instructions. Truly awful. I love the product and how it cleans up the lines of the bike. Do yourself a favor- order it. Throw away the instructions and then watch a you tube video. The one I found was for a CX500, but it was identical in procedure and very helpful. Oh- one other thing I just remembered. When I was connecting the Licence plate LED light. It wouldn't work. I was quite bummed until on a whim, I connected the leads in reverse to the factory harness- black to red and red to black. LIGHT! So, perhaps someone in assembly is being a bit lax with which lead they solder where...

I bought this product for my 2014 cb500f. Good product easy to install took a little bit of work you don't need a lot experience. All you have to do was follow the directions given to you in the packaging. The instructions were definitely easy to follow. The fit and finish is very good it looks good after you're done. it doesn't look cheap. It gives the bike a cleaner look. Everything you need, besides the tools, comes in the packaging. I knew they make a no cut version, I bought the cut version. There is just a few inches difference, but I thought it was worth doing it all the way, just a couple more bucks get what you want. It's not like you are going to change it back. Over all a awesome product, nothing bad to say.
