This thing is really expensive, but it is sturdy and dependable. I teach high school and make custom notebooks for 175 students every year, doing that by hand was impossible. Had to pay out of pocket so kinda hurt, still paying it off a year later, but it does make things way easier. Side note: if you're a cool generous person and want to help out a public school teacher with no budget for school supplies, you should check out my classroom wish list :)

just received brand new from rhin o tuff company, packed solid in Styrofoam within second box with no shipping issues. started up machine works great. i would say the manual is lacking in specifically telling you how many turns to turn the adjustment wheel for the tension coil clipper mechanism. so i calculated (from starting all the way to the right or all the way to the left) that it is 9-1/4 turns and i put it on 4-1/2 turns to get the tension of the cutter mechanism to about 1/2 which i had to figure out since the manual does not tell you how many turns for coil size on the cutter adjustment wheel etc. and i put a white dot on the wheel so that i know how many turns to turn to 1/2 way. i bought a steel table cart with wheels to support this 75lb machine. the manufacture tech support is very busy so you have to call ask for operator to get you someone to talk to if you needed questions answered about machine etc.

I have had this machine for about 2 years and have bound hundreds of books from 1/4 inch to 1 1/2 inch. I used to pay $19.00 to $24.00 per book to have them bound. Now, by taking all the processes in house, my costs are cut in half. The binder has worked perfectly. My only exception is that I would like for the roller that winds the coil onto the book to have more power. With the bigger books it tends to stall if too much pressure is applied. The machine does everything: punches holes winds the coil and, conveniently crimps the ends.
