This is a great Cabasa. I was very pleased with the purchase. It has great sound and feels like it is quality-made. Great price, too! I've used expensive cabasas, and this one is just as good as the expensive ones.*I've been a percussionist for over 10 years and have professional training (including college level)

I purchased these for myself to play in church and it is very nice. It has a little weight that makes it feel like an instrument of quality. It is pretty loud and has a nice sound......I love the sound. If you are looking for a really good professional sounding Cabasa then look no further. It really looks an feels professional. I would highly recommend this product.

I am a percussionist. If I can hold it and it is a percussion instrument then I want it. (I play the drums too.) It is well made and sounds great. It fits into my percussion instrument bag and is portable and easy to travel with. I love it. It is a great addition to my percussion stuff. Feel the music and play it too.

First off I bought this product for live applications because of the textured handle that makes it pretty much slip resistant. I own an LP Cabasa, which is almost as good as this product. I had a problem in the middle of one of my sets because the LP cabasa had slipped out of my hand, hints why I wanted to pick up this particular product. The wood on the Rhythm Tech RT 8000 cabasa is a lot darker than pictured I first thought it had been painted black, which isn't a problem I just wanted to point that out. The bead strands are a little bit tighter than my LP and the LP has a couple more strands than this one does. The sound of the Rhythm tech is almost Identical to my LP and about twenty dollars less than the LP. This is becoming one of my favorite pieces in my instrument collection. This is an especially great product if you are playing in a hot climate or if you play in excessive stage light, or if you are using the product for long periods at a time and a lacquered wood handle can potentially be a problem. I'd say that this is the best Cabasa on the market just because of the grip, If you prefer a smaller cabasa or you have smaller hands I'd suggest the smaller version of this product also by rhythm tech.

The construction and design is nice, mine came in black however, it looks just as good. The black handle is comfortable and helps me play for longer duration of time. the beads with the scraper sounds rich, sharp, and of a good quality.Overall a great quality instrument that the professional musicians need.

This is an ok little cabasa for $27, one issue I was unhappy with was when I pulled it out of the package the wood on the top was warped and the metal underneath the beads is cheap looking and cheap sounding. It does have a nice rubber grip as opposed to a natural wood grip but the sound quality from my LP 234A blows this Rhythm Tech one away. Spend your $27 on the LP and you will be way more satisfied.

This instrument is the one we waited for the longest, because it cost more than our plastic flutes and rubber bongo drum - but I wish we'd bought it sooner. It is the most versatile, fun, and interesting sounding instrument we have. It's great for 'family music time' when we all grab and instrument and play together. The kids have found some very creative ways to use it! And this brand is very sturdy, durable, tough - would highly recommend it, particularly for the Amazon price.
