Like many younger people who work from home or in a business casual environment, I only have a few neck ties to my name. It was always a struggle to figure out where to store them, so that they stayed in good shape for the rare occasions I would need them. This hangar-based tie holder is a great solution - holds all my ties with room for more - and doesn't require sacrificing valuable closet space - just a single hangar's worth on the clothes hanging bar. Good value and sturdy - should last many years.

Over a lifetime I've accumulated a lot of ties. This item finally has allowed me to store and access them in a sane, neat and rational way. The design is simple, sturdy and practical. I note that some negative reviews focus on not being able to slip the tie under the metal arms. My ties fit perfectly between the end of the metal arms and the stalk attaching them to the wooden hanger. That's stable enough to keep the ties secure in my closet. Perhaps if you're hanging ties in your RV while on the road that won't do. However if you live in an RV you probably don't need multiple ties. Overall I'm very satisfied.

Metal clips are too tight, ties (of regular size and shape, not too thick or too large) do not slide in or fit inClips do not stay parallel to the floor but are arched, ties do not hang very well that wayThis is supposedly a simple product how can you build it so badly?

Bought this tie rack for the hubs as a Xmas present. He has increased his tie collection and we needed a nice looking rack to hold them. I will say, this fits the bill! It's a nice dark brown with the tie prongs that move out to add/remove the tie, and then lay flat to keep them in place. They won't fall off as there is a crevice where the tie slides underneath. There are 2 rows of 12 prongs for a total of 24 ties. It doesn't take up any room in the closet as it's not bulky at all so it's convenient if you need to purchase more than one hanger. Very sturdy and well made. A score for any man in your life!

The most efficient tie hanger I have found! Well worth the price!Forget those spinning racks that take up as much closet rod space as 4 suits, trying to use the stock store hang tags on standard hangers or resorting to unwieldy methods of stashing that leave your ties wrinkled and creased...this nifty tie hanger can safely hold up to 24 ties and takes up only as much space in the closet as a standard sport coat! The wood hanger uniquely suspends 24 tie clips, 12 on each side, which swivel front to back for easy access and storage of ties. The clips can be a little tight, but I have yet to damage any of my ties, regardless of size, thickness or material. Just make sure you hold both sides of the tie near the clip when pulling it into the holding arm and the material shouldn't stretch or snag. Any clips that are overly tight can be manually adjusted wider with a flat head screwdriver for a quick and easy fix.The general fit and finish isn't the best, but I have no doubt that this hanger will survive many years of regular use.All in all, the hanger works very well and stores every tie I own in a very convenient space and size. No more broken plastic hang tags or lost space in the closet. This hanger presents all of my stored ties in an easy-to-see, easy-to-access manner and being able to organize my collection by color and design makes it far easier to pick out a tie each day.Highly recommended!

I purchased this item not for ties, but for suspenders! Yes, the kind that keep your pants up. I made the switch to suspenders and wasn't sure how to store them. If I folded them up and put them in a drawer they inevitably became tangled. Same if I rolled them up in a drawer, plus they take up quite a bit of drawer space. Regular hangers weren't good because they would fall off all the time. Then I found this and decided to try it.THIS IS PERFECT FOR SUSPENDERS! The material is pretty sturdy, and the entire hangar spins as does each individual "tie holder", Like with ties, you need to load it evenly otherwise you will get a titanic effect on the hangar, but basic physics says that is unavoidable. This works well to hold my six suspenders, but can hold as many as there are hooks (24 total, 12 on each side). Each metal holder I would say is 1 3/4" to 2" (I didn't measure). The metal holders have an area to "pinch" or hold ties in place, which works well for me. For suspenders I put only ONE strap of the suspender just a bit under the metal pinching, which holds it in place snugly without forcing both straps under. I then simply lay the 2nd strap over the first as shown in the pictures. I have had this for a few months now and never once has the hangar let them fall and they remain where I put them, untangled and ready to go.This would work well for ties if that is what you want it for, but if you are looking for a way to hang your suspenders this is it!

I rarely write reviews, but it seems every other review misses the intended design of this rack, so I felt compelled to offer this input. The clips are too tight to slide the tie all the way under - correct - no need to complain about this OR manually bend them open. Simply slide the edge of your tie under the edge of the clip with just a little push - it doesn't take much to get a small pinch. Likewise, the tie should be balanced and isn't likely to go anywhere, so a small pinch is all that's needed to keep the ties in place as you pull the rack off the shelf to look for a tie. I've done this a dozen times and not a tie has slipped off. This is a perfectly good design and it's so easy to use, I can't believe people are sending it back or pulling out their pliers. I'll put a picture up to show how it should be used. Picture on the right, or at http://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-media/permalink/mo2EWKVULKH9KK/B000A68E48/ref=cm_ciu_images_pl_linkEDIT 2015-04-12: I've been using this daily for 9 months. Never had a tie slip off, haven't damaged a single tie (I have a variety of thicknesses and materials from thick wool to fine silk), and it's still fast and easy to use. Looks as good as the day it showed up too; I'm hoping it will late the rest of my tie-wearing career!
