I bought these based on the fact that they were Richmond gear set. when they arrived the Richmond package appeared to have been dragged behind a truck. I installed them in my race car with all new bearings and they last about 50 laps before literally shearing off the pinion. this was about the 20th differential I have set up and was the first to have blown up . I'll stick with motive gears from here on this was the first and last time using Richmond.

These gears held up well for over two years behind a dyno'd 393 rwhp LS1/T56 in a 2002 SS Camaro. I installed them myself, and set them up with the same shims as the factory 3.42s with good results. Very quiet, no noise, no wear. Many, many hard launches at the track on some sticky Nitto tires finally did them in. They break like most 10 bolts do - at the pinion. This is a much cheaper route than a 12 bolt or 9 inch, so I just ordered my second set from Amazon. Good price and prime shipping. Made in USA. Hopefully they will last through another couple of years of very hard driving and abuse at the drag strip.
