Even when my grass is not very tall, my mower has been begun to drop grass into wind rows. I have tried raising the mower height up to its maximum, but this has not really helped. I need a way to raise up the chute on my riding mower in order to allow it to throw grass farther. I had read reviews that warned about how the clip on this device would not stay on the mower chute, but decided to try this item anyway. The idea is good, but the device that is designed to hold the chain onto the mower chute would not stay clipped onto the chute. It slid around on the edge of the chute and the clip part ended up breaking off. I remember that my father had a similar device on his riding mower, but his was made of metal not plastic. A metal version of this would probably work. Don't waste your money on this plastic chute guard adjuster.

Love the concept but hate the execution. It should include a third clip so you have one in raised position as well as one in the lowered position. I have to fiddle with moving the chain should be just raise and clip as well as lower and clip.

terrible product poor design. plastic chain .... really?? broke... I am using a Bungie cord now...and how in the heck is it suppose to work... terrible instructions do not buy

Great idea, excellent product. They should sell these with the lawn tractor. But, be sure to use a screw on the discharge chute clip.

Had been thinkinking of making something to make it easier to raise th safety flap on th mower deck,as I need to pick it up every time I go through the gate.Well almost 20 years later and I'm still reaching down to lift it,until I saw this. Great idea,easy to put on,does its job! I do recommend putting a small screw in the bottom of the clip for the guard,as over time the clip slides to the end and cold slide off. Easy fix.I recommend using this if you have to raise your guard as I did!

Not sure why the negative reviews. I watched the video and followed the instructions to install …it took 5 minutes. I zip tied the safety snap and attached both parts to my zero turn with screws and mowed over 6 acres without any problems! Now I park the mower next to my other farm equipment with no problems at all because the grass flap is raised. I am buying one for my brothers next. Linxguard works and is a brilliant idea if you put it on as instructed. I’m giving it 5 stars.

Crap, worthless, fell apart one hour after install, can’t hold chute up, clips came off both ends and got mulched by mower. Worthless junk, rip off , terrible, I would be ashamed to sell this to anyone except my worst enemies
