These solar panels work as intended. I saw other reviews speaking about Wifi issues but I have not experienced any issues using these panels with my Ring Stick Up cams.

I have not had to climb a ladder to remove and replace batteries in my Ring cameras since installing and tweaking these units. I have quite a few cameras that aren't hardwired and they were a constant concern while we were travelling. I don't have to worry about batteries running down and dying while we are away. The only thing I do now is clean the panels and the camera lenses periodically for peak performance.

I installed 2 of the 3 packs so far and both worked instantly. Good product and good value.

I am not sure if it is the solar panel or the software on the stick up cams, the three cams that I plugged these three panels into would quit working during the day time and start working again after sun down. First it would cause the WiFi signal to drop and than it would say the battery is at zero, when they were newly charged batteries. Haven't had the time to contact Ring about it, but there help page is useless. It suggests charge the battery, put a WiFi booster in, when the WiFi antenna is 15 feet away. My truck parked 100 feet away can pickup me WiFi, but the Ring cam with the solar panel cannot? This maybe a software problem with Ring, I don't know, but it may not work for your camera. Mine are Gen 3 cameras. After what I assume we're updates and adding a WiFi extender, at first still didn't work, buy after leaving it unplugged for a couple weeks, while changing the battery, I plugged one back in. It seemed to work. When another battery went dead, I tried plugging that solar panel in. It seems to be working. Waiting for the camera closes to the router to require its battery to be changed and will see if it works now. I do appreciate the solar company contacting me to offer a full refund or replacement. I am now thinking it is a software problem with the Ring cameras. I raised the rating and if the 3rd camera works when I plug in the solar panel, I will raise the the rating.

I loved this deal because 3 of my 4 cameras use batteries. I keep 2 batteries in each camera but STILL forget to check them in time every now and again and a camera goes offline. NOW, even in the dead of winter with all the cloud cover, these panels are keeping both batteries in each camera, on full charge! I'm so glad I bought these! Plug in the back is small male end. NOT C Style. Had to buy a male to C adapter for my newest camera.

I let these panels charge up in the sun for 2 days. I installed the first panel and connected it to my ring stick up cam 3rd gen camera. The panel was facing the sun and the ring camera had 72% battery remaining. I opened the ring app and selected the camera live view and it could not connect. Opened device health and the battery status was “add a battery” and solar status was connected to ring solar panel, and I had a strong wifi signal. Unhooked the solar panel and battery returned to 72% and live view worked correctly. Tried with a different camera, then different solar panel, same result. Returned to the original solar panel set up and left it. Once the sun was no longer shining on the solar panel and it stopped charging the camera battery, all functions returned to normal. I checked throughout the day and everything was normal. I had hope. The next morning with the sun on the panel and it charging the battery (according to the icon on camera setup in the ring app), no function. The camera was not working until the sun passed overhead and no longer shining on the panel. Talked ring customer support and they were unable to offer a remedy. I am returning this item.

I installed a ring stick up camera on the side of my garage. I found these solar panels on line and thought it would help with battery life. Easy to install and connect, however after I connected it I noticed that my camera would disconnect from wifi. I decided to add a wifi extender to see if that would help. It did not seem to help, so I moved my camera closer to the extender, still no help. I unplugged the solar panel and moved it again and it started to work, then I went and plugged the panel back in and it disconnected from the wifi. I have since disconnected the panel for a couple days and all works fine. Not sure why the panel makes the wifi connection go away. I have a spare camera and tried that one with the panel, and same happened. I even changed out the solar panel since I have three...again the same problem. Any thoughts??
