I am really impressed with these mandrels, there's nothing cheap about them at all. They have a nice grippy finish, and the method for securing rings to these tools is clever and effective. I think it will be fun to try making some rings with these, though it's new to me. Whether it's wood or acrylic, or metal, you can apply just the right amount of tension to hold them securely for carving and finishing, and without struggling to get the material on and off. They're pretty versatile as well since they can be used with an MT1 fitting or a chuck, and the other end works with a center point. It even comes with the proper wrenches which are nice tools themselves, very high quality, and a durable storage case that fits all of the pieces perfectly without taking up too much room. The case is also translucent so you can see what's inside. I'm really happy to have these and can't wait for the weather to warm up so I can get out into the garage and start some projects. Thanks.
