Update Aug 10, 2024: after several months of use as a heavyweight, the gloves still look brand new. The exterior still looks like they did on day 1. These are definetly one of my favorite gloves for bag training.Original post:These gloves are 100% bag gloves, the padding is super firm and takes some time to break in. I think these babies are going to last a very long time for that reason. I usually use 16 oz gloves and i find the large is nice and snug with wraps and the leather is starting to open up a little and form nicely in the first few weeks. They really are beautifully crafted gloves with great ventilation as well and dry out quickly. They are a good inch or two longer than other gloves I have so they go quite high up on the arm. Very happy with the purchase so far

Do you like spongy, 5 inch padding protruding from the front of your fist? Do you like rolling your wrist joint because shots glance or roll awkwardly causing sharp pain and lasting discomfort? Then these gloves are for you! Wait no longer, stuff your hands into these bad boys and have a blast! No seriously these are great to look at but absolutely abysmal to train in. 30 year old ringside super bag gloves are a hundred times more comfortable and protective.

loved them make sure to use leather conditioner on them or they'll rot. Also to Ringside can you all please a better lining on the inside of the glove so stuffing doesn't come out and burn your eyes out lol

*Updating this after approx. 11 months use*The gloves came very fast, faster than listed. However they may look amazing the fit is extremely tight and I have average sized hands for someone 5’7” (188LBS.), and smaller wrists (I am a power puncher though). They fit better with my wraps I use now which is one set of youth and one set of adult per hand, but my old wraps were better (could barely get the gloves on with them though) and gave me more cushion to the knuckles which I find being a power puncher my knuckles do feel it after a workout slightly where as before they never did. I still have some issue having to basically squeeze them so my hands not slightly opened while punching instead of it feeling like a more natural fist like other gloves I have used, it has gotten a bit better or I'm just so used to the extra squeezing.I just purchased new gloves again as these are also starting to fall apart inside the glove. So they lasted almost a year which I guess isn’t bad for gloves used by a power puncher on hard bags.

I was initially very happy with these gloves. They are a bit tight, but with leather products, you can imagine they would break in beautifully. Unfortunately, this is not my experience.. Instead, after just 4 workouts with them, the leather has already ripped on the front of glove. These are advertised as being super durable.....and yet, they are cheap. You would think such an expensive glove would be built to last. Clearly not the case. Very displeased.

These are silent gloves when it comes to hitting the bag. And if you have long fingers, don't even think about buying these as your fore knuckles will scrape against the glove's lining severely. Wish I could fit into them. Great gloves for building speed though!!

Pretty good gloves I've been using them for about 3 months and my only complaint is my hands can get a little sore but you'll have to take that with a grain of salt because I usually hit a heavy bag for a sold 7 rounds witch are 7 minutes each so roughly an hour and my hands are prone to getting sore anyways so all in all I recommend these gloves if it fits your budget don't over spend thinking your gonna get some amazing gloves just spend 50 for the ringside apex gloves instead they are just as good as the heritage gloves in my opinion

Very nice gloves indeed, but a bit tight. Had I known, I would have ordered X-large instead of Large. I followed the sizing instructions on the Ringside web site; but unfortunately, their instructions are not right, at least not for these gloves. They fit just fine on their own; but forget about hand-wraps. So I'll keep them. Perhaps they need to be broken in and in a month or two, hand wraps might work just fine. If that's the case, I will revise this review with an extra star. This is a very nice glove, very well made, top quality stitches, top quality padding, large solid velcro closing ...Update: I think the gloves needed a good break-in period. They fit much better now, with the hand-wraps too. So I am very happy with them and have revised my rating from 4 to 5 stars. (March 17 2015)

I got these in the mail and was instantly amazed by the quality! Very high quality leather, great stitching, nothing to complain about this glove. The new padded palm design is extremely comfortable and it feels like it's made for your hand. When I first put it on I was a little concerned by how tight and stiff it was but after a few weeks it loosened up nicely. Like previously stated on other comments sweat is a factor on the leather and can leave some nasty looking stains if you're not careful, leather conditioner would be handy for these gloves. With the old school look these are gonna look better and better the more I use them and the older they get. The only thing that might be a problem for some people is the padding. Unlike the Reyes or grants all the padding is in the knuckles. It still offers great wrist support but if you like to feel your punches and like minimal padding on the knuckles this might not be the glove for you. Also these gloves have more of a rounded top than most bag gloves, almost more on the sparring side but still excellent for bag work! These are not flaws just differences from other styles of gloves. Would recommend for anyone trying to improve their skills and upgrade to a nice pair of gloves.

Very high quality construction. Actually get good comments from other guys at the gym. Snug fit, I have large hands and bought the large size gloves, could have gone a size larger.
