Made for testing the wire circuit state (i.e. open, short, cross etc.) of network line and telephone line cable. Inorder to achieve a quick test result, this RJ45 Cable Tester switches into automatic scan mode. The tester is easy to carry and ideal for site maintenance.
A 9V battery is required to operate this network cable tester (battery not included). It is recommended to replace the battery if the indicator lights appear weak. Testing cannot be performed if the RJ45 copper screeners are not properly pressed. Any non-compliance may result in permanent damage to the device. Please use high-quality tools to press the cables. Please note that telephone cables that are not terminated by 6P6C cannot be tested with this device. Any non-compliance may also result in permanent damage to the device.
Features:
*Can accurately detect twisted cables 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and G, and identify wrong connections, short circuits, and open circuits.
*Can test double-twisted cables: Simply turn on the power (ON for normal mode and S for slow speed mode), insert the cables into the main tester and remote test, and the indicator lights on the main tester will light up sequentially from 1 to G.
Main Tester: 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-G
Remote Tester: 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-G (RJ45)
1-2-3-4-5-6 -------- (RJ12)
- 2-3-3 -------------- (RJ11)
Abnormal Connections:
*If a cable, such as cable No. 3, is open-circuited, the No. 3 lights on both the main tester and remote tester will not light up.
*If multiple cables are not connected, multiple indicator lights will not light up accordingly. If less than two cables are connected, none of the lights will be on.
*If two cables are short-circuited, neither of the corresponding lights on the remote tester will be on, while the main tester remains unchanged. If three cables, including No. 3, are short-circuited, none of the corresponding lights will be on.
