Used this to provide a water proof barrier per the luxury vinyl plank warranty installation instructions. Worked great, helped to give a soft quiet waterproof floor.

This is my first attempt at flooring but this underlay seems to do what it is designed to do. It has several inches of the plastic moisture barrier on one end so when you lay down another row it overlaps and there is a strip of tape you can pull as you line it up so it seals itself to the other row. I've put down three bedrooms and it feels great when you walk on the flooring and is pretty silent. Noise when walking on the flooring was my main concern since it is only 2mm I wasn't sure how good it would cushion. In hind sight, a 3mm might have been too soft and given the flooring too much bounce. Probably not greatest for above grade floors if your looking for noise control for rooms beneath you but for single story homes I can't see any reason to spend big bucks on another brand.

We bought this at a fraction of the price underlayment was going for at big box stores. Having laid flooring for several homes, it works as good as anything else we've used. Our current house is on piers and it does its job: The flooring is comfortable to walk on and there hasn't been any issues as far as moisture -- although we wouldn't expect any. The product was easy to roll out and tape as well. We will be ordering more once we get around to finishing our bedrooms.

I had to replace a portion of my flooring due to water damage. This product was very easy to work with as a moisture barrier between my concrete slab and the wood floors. It has been installed for over six months now and I think this is an improvement on the "top of the line" underlayment that the floor was originally installed with (which was also twice the price). Very great product for a really good price!

Excellent value! This underlayment by Roberts, provides a vapor barrier, enough padding to make the laminate flooring over cement quiet and comes with an adhesive strip attached. I spent time researching different product options and pricing and I'm certain I found the best deal available! It was very easy to use and being a Amazon Prime member, shipping was FREE!!! I highly recommend this Roberts 2 in 1 underlayment!

We could have gotten a comparable product at a local big box store but the cost was $7/roll higher. We read the reviews of the Roberts underlayment and decided it was good or better than what we could get locally and since the shipping was free it was an easy choice. It lays down easily and when the tape is pulled it adheres to the sheet next to to very well.My only complaint is that even with a new blade in our knife it was hard to cut small pieces off at the wall. That said I would definitely buy it again if we do another hardwood floor ourselves.

After recently taking on the responsibility for raising my two boys (3 and 9 years old), I found that my living arrangements weren't going to work. My parents kindly decided to help out by letting me build an apartment in their basement. The Unison 2-In-1 underlayment was the perfect solution for breaking direct contact with the concrete. I used it not only under the laminate flooring, but under the free-floating vinyl in the bathroom and kitchen too. Not only does it make bare feet in the bathroom reasonably comfortable, it also softened the surface considerably. And while the laminate floors require socks at a minimum, they are also less chilly than they should be.We had originally been thinking about furring strips with narrow cavities and more substantive insulation, but with only 81" in the highest areas and considerably less under the ducts (especially with drywall cladding), we realized we would need every inch possible. This material was the perfect solution. While a little more insulation might have been nice, there is no way we could have found better insulation at 3/16th of an inch. And after discovering just how comfortable the vinyl floors are with this underneath, I will never lay another vinyl floor without it. It really makes for a very nice combination of softening the surface and making it quite a bit warmer - very efficiently reflecting the heat from your feet, right back through the heavy vinyl surface. And of course the price is unbeatable. I started this project having to buy two rolls from Home Depot - at $25.95 per roll. I bought the last four rolls here on Amazon for $14.95 per roll. With Amazon prime my shipping was free and they were here in just a couple of days. It seems odd to buy building materials online and indeed for many materials it really isn't cost effective, but I have learned to check here first, because you never know.
