When it works, it works. I went to use it today and noticed that the bottle had broken right at the neck rendering it unusable. Now I'm left wondering if I should buy another bottle or just get the cans of freon with dye already in them.

I purchased this A/C Leak Detection kit (Robinair 16235) through Amazon.ca Apr 2016.+ + +- I've used this tool 5 times or so since I purchased it. It has helped me find 3 leaks in various vehicles.- It comes with a usable case that should hold up to fairly regular use if not abused too much.- The dye is certainly bright enough to spot using the included UV glasses and fluorescent flash light.- The injection gun is sturdy and feels smooth during use.- - -- The plastic dye bottle could be better designed.- A few days after the first use I pulled the kit out for my second project and found that the dye bottle had leaked inside the case spilling approx: 1/3 of the dye making a big mess for me to clean up. Needless to say I was very upset.- The dye bottle cracked where it attaches to the injection gun. It's a poorly designed dye bottle to injection gun fitting for such a large capacity dye bottle.- It took hours of rinsing and drying and rinsing and drying some more to get the case and storage foam only partially clean. Not to mention a waste of a lot of cleaning solvent (isopropyl alcohol).- Now I am not able to store the dye bottle and injection gun in the case. I have to keep it hanging from a hook to keep it from leaking.- When using the tool now I have to try my best to keep it upright to avoid spillage onto vehicle components which is sometimes difficult when working in some situations.- The UV flashlight could be of better quality. Seems to be on the cheap side of quality. I think it would be better even with a rubber coating or cover.Overall it's a good product, but I can only hope Robinair comes up with a better design for attaching the dye bottle to the injection gun to avoid this issue in the future.Maybe I'm the only one that this has happened to, but I doubt it.I hope you found my review helpful.Rick...

Rated with 3 stars although I've not used kit as of now. There was no sign of instructions with kit and none on company web site. If you were new to using florescent dye in an AC system, you would have no idea of how to perform test. Even U tube didn't help a lot. This was close to someone giving you a checkers game with no instructions ( and you have never seen a checkers game before)

One pump puts in enough to spot any leak in the AC system in your vehicle. It's super easy to use and extremely efficient.
