Rock Exotica makes top quality climbing gear. This is a triple action lock, so the collar has to be turned, slid, and then the gate will open. Many carabiners of this type require the collar to be slid away from the gate hinge. Rock Exotica is the other way. I find in my hand that sliding the collar toward the gate hinge is a more comfortable action so I have almost exclusively Rock Exotica Carabiners

I wish they made more colors but black will go good with my red tender and green rope. Little pricey but hard to find. Happy with this purchase.

As a relatively new SRT tree climber, I like the rock exotica locking mechanism though I’ve read some people find it funky since it is upside down compared to some other manufacturers products. I bought a handful of these. One with a wire gate, one without and a pirate HMS style. All really great! This one is used for my flip line prusik connection.

It's very easy to use with one hand on the end of my safety lanyard. It's a plus that the operation is smooth as silk and it's made very nicely.
