The dB16 is a mono amplifier with 8,000 watts peak output and 2,000 watts Dyno-Certified power. Here at Rockville we offer the best value in car audio. We therefore want to make it easy for you to compare our products to any brands on the market. The peak rating can be used to compare with brands who use peak ratings such as Boss and Power Acoustik while the Dyno Certified RMS rating can be used to compare with top brands such as Kicker, Rockford, Alpine, etc.
One of the tricks to determine the real power of a car amplifier is to multiply the fuse rating by 10 to determine the true RMS power. This formula almost always works within 20 %. The dB16 features a Maxi fuse with a rating of 200 Amps. Although we rate these conservatively at 2,000 watts Dyno-Certified @ 2 ohms, this amplifier puts out more power than this! This amp has a fully adjustable 12dB/Octave crossover with differential circuitry. Other features include a subsonic filter, a fully adjustable bass equalizer, mute and delay soft start technology, a phase control switch, and a dashboard subwoofer control for added convenience. The dB16 is protected by a full IC controlled circuit and has professional peak limiter circuitry guaranteeing distortion free music playback at all levels. The RCA input accepts both balanced and un-balanced inputs. If there is potential inference in the car, the balanced input signal is less susceptible to noise. The dB amps by Rockville use the top parts and components recommended by Rockville’s very own engineer. These amps are the best sounding out of any series we have ever created. They perform more efficiently resulting in even dB of sound. We created them to be 2 ohm stable just like the world’s most famous amps by Rockford Fosgate, Kicker, etc. If you compare our amp to the most famous amps you will find our amp can compete and, in my opinion, surpass the performance of anything in its class.

I was hesitant at first seeing as it was rated for 2000rms but I'll tell you this runs my 5000 watt 15 consistently and comfortable runs cool also the fact the bass actually works is a plus overall really good product and a solid amp

Well what I ordered was not exactly what I was expecting 8000 watt 4000 rms ? What got delivered was a little bit less or I should say .. a lot less . 2000 rms don’t ask me but I was expecting the 4000 rms . The amp sounds good and all but my 2. 12 inch Rockford fosgate punch can handle more than the amp puts out and it clips if try to push the volume past half way . You’d think they would be more accurate with whats advertised

Hooked these up to a KICKER CompR 12"(30cm) Dual subwoofers in Vented encl, 2ohm, RoHS Compliant box and made those thumpAmp looks great and works just as wellWill be buying another set up for another car

This amp was able to power “2” 10” Kicker subwoofers rated at 250w RMS each at 2ohms without issue. However, I upgraded to “2” 10” Alpine subwoofers rated at 600w RMS each at 2ohms and the amp failed almost immediately afterward. The amp was purchased only 2 months prior. This amp is supposedly rated at 2000w RMS at 2ohms. Their customer service was slow to generate an RMA and require to receive shipment back and diagnosis before providing a replacement. No advanced replacement options which meant weeks of down time. Also, they were quick to blame my installation and wiring. I purchased a different amp from a different manufacturer. Works perfectly. I don’t recommend this amp.

Hooked these bad boys up to 4 "8 inch" subs. The sound is clean and the power is amazing. For the price point of these amps I truly believe is the best bang for your buck. I would buy these amps for all my stereo needs in the future.

This amp is great but if you dont have enough juice for it they will blow there power hungry i got two yellow tops and have no problem but other then that my x15 v2 d4 sundown pounds harder then it ever has

Watched a YouTube video where they dyno this amp for actual output. 1750w rms At 2 ohm. Perfect amp for powering my two 12’s. Was on the market for a 1500w-2000w amp. Couldn’t find anything with this value. Definitely a gem.

I had originally ordered an Orion XTR 2500.1DZ and it work for about 10 minutes total , I contacted amazon and I sent the amp back and ordered another 2500 and somehow I ended up with a bad returned amp that didn't even work. So I ended up sending it back also and I said heck with Orion and decided to cheap out and ordered the Rockville DB16 for 228.00 ... not bad for a 2000 watt CEA rated amp. I received the amp in new condition and I hooked it up to two 12" AudioPipes TXX-BD4-12 ,2 ohm subs in a sealed box and let me tell ya this amp and subs will jar your guts . The subs are rated at 1100 watts RMS each and the amp does roughly 2400 watts @ dynamic burst which works well with the 80 -90 hair band metal I listen to. The Amps are really big, like 21 inches by about9-10" wide and they look great! If you look at the pics I took you can see I'm gonna have an issue mounting them in a 99 Camaro.The Rockville Logo lights up in blue and the remote bass knob also lights up in blue and it's actually to bright at night and it will blind you and will light up your entire car, I had to put tape over it. I liked the Rockville DB16 so much I bought the Rockville DB45 and I'm curtrently running it on four JBL 6.5" 60 watts RMS coaxials and they sound phenomenal with 200 watts RMS CEA rated power on each speaker @ 2 ohms, it's acutally to much power for them and I have to run the amp gain all the way down and they are still way loud, but clean. I've ordered 4 Kicker KS series Coaxials to replace them that has higher power handling so we will see. if you want to run in competitions the Rockville amp line isn't what you need in my opinion, but if you want to add some power, great sound to your ride and actually enjoy music all at a great price then this amp(s) is for you. Set your gain right and leave the bass EQ (boost) turned off and the amp will serve you well! I ended up getting the DB16, the DB45 and a Rockville R7EQ equalizer all for less than what the Orion 2500.1DZ cost ...so if your on a budget consider what you get for the money. have a great day!
