UHF wireless is a lot better than the new WiFi units, it just is. With all the WiFi signals flying around these days you get a lot of interference with the 2.4Ghz models and even the 5.8Ghz in some cases. UHF doesn't have that problem and it's perfect for home studios, where you're in close proximity to your own router.

Rockville makes some great products but this one just didn't work for me. I had to turn everything up so much that I was getting all kinds of noise. I tried everything but the unit I got just wasn't working

After maybe 15 or so live shows, the antenna on the body pack part came apart. Sadly, this reduces the distance one can be from the base. While I didn’t have high expectations, I hoped the product would last longer.

In a world of "Planned obsolescence" I decided to look into a wireless guitar system with REPLACEABLE batteries. This unit does what it promises on the tin but it fell short of my expectations in a few areas. I did not try the headset in my evaluation as it's intended purpose is for guitar only.The good: Audio quality is clear as a bell and I did not notice any cut outs when the device is DIRECTLY connected to my amplifier. The chassis and the transmitter are of acceptable quality.The BAD: You are stuck with one channel and the documentation offers no way to change it, the description mentions 5 frequency groups. Another issue is that when adjusting guitar volume or tone there is a LOUD crackling noise and this happens with all of my instruments. Finally, when connecting the RMW61u to any of my PC USB devices, the audio input is too low even with the volume turned all the way up, the weak signal prevents me from fully enjoying my sound presets on the computer. None of these issues happen with my "disposable" GETARIA wireless USB dongles, which I intend to replace with something that does not have non-replaceable batteries.Bottom line: This is a decent unit for the humble price they are asking ONLY IF you will use it with an amplifier. I need wireless to provide a strong signal to my computer which handles audio processing in real time, both for studio and live shows. Since the caveats outweighed the benefits, I had to return this item. I could have received a defective unit but I did not want to take a chance by getting another one.
