we had a large fireplace gas key that was preventing some furniture placement. no one locally had a smaller key so i took a chance and this fits perfect!

Little big. Adding tape to the square 1/4 so it fits tighter.

This is 1/4 inch. My fireplace valve is 5/16 inch. Returned it and got one that fit.

Just what I needed it for. I'm not totally convinced that it'll last for 5-10 years worth of turns, but it'll do for me. Truthfully, I'll probably end up lending it out before I ever find out.

This key is nice and compact. I'm using it for an outdoor firepit and it is just the right length that it doesn't stick out too far. I am hoping the "resistance to rust" is true.

Have gas valves on the floor of my Victorian home. Little bit of trimming on the belt sander of the shaft, and fit perfectly!! Throw some vinegar and steel wool in a bucket with it and soak for 2 days. Take out, spray with a clearcoat, and it is blackened and aged like 130 one it is replacing!!
