I was able to put it together and used it a few times and it didn't seem like it was working, but I tried again recently, and I think I was using it wrong. I have to drag it one direction, then manually flip the roll back the other direction. The manual flip wipes the roll and deposits the fur into the translucent cylinder. It works okay like this with cat bedding and furniture, about as much work put into as using a rubber glove to scrape across furniture.

This didn’t work in any way for the dog hair. It was super awkward to use as well as difficult to get it to do anything like it should. When you try to swipe, it just pushed the material but doesn’t actually get any hair. Or if it does, it’s very minimal

The quality of this is nice. I hate the tape-type lint rollers (and hate having to buy the replacement rolls for them). This seems like it is going to be much nicer. Also, the surface area of it is almost twice as wide as a lint roller, which means fewer swipes. You do have to make sure you are using it in the right direction on certain fabrics. It has been great for picking up kitty fur (I have 2 kitties and they seem to shed everywhere) but they also sometimes have litter dust on their paws and it doesn't pick that up quite as well as the fur.Has a small hook that allows me to hang it with my brooms and mops. All in all, great find!

I have a few of these roller hair/lint removers. The others all work great and function smoothly.Unfortunately, after using this one a few times the roller started sticking, making it difficult to use. I completely cleaned the roller assembly, but that didn't help. Roller continues to stick.Maybe mine was defective, but it only worked well for a short while and then began to stick and not roll properly.

I used this on my throw rugs to pick up pet hair. It did a great job. The roller pulls quite a bit on the fabric being rolled so I was not able to use this effectively on my couch cover or bed spread. Easy assembly. When rolling, you will need to watch the cover release on top of the handle or it might pop open.

You might think, yeah, it's obvious that a product that comes with a handle should have it attached to function properly, right? So what am I talking about?Well, in this case, it was easier said than done. The handle was packed inside the roller, and while there were instructions (in Chinese, with TEENSY, almost in decipherable text in English)) on the outside of the box, along with tiny line drawings, there was nothing about how to actually EXTRICATE the handle from the business end of this device, especially since the release button wasn't working. I ended up having to pry open the clear plastic "door" with a screwdriver to get it open. Different packaging to accommodate the handle (already attached or at least packed separately from the head), or decent instructions on how to open the compartment would have been very welcome.Anyway, once I assembled the unit, I set out to test it on furniture and clothing. It works well, though initially the cat hair was not getting into the receptacle compartment. As it accumulated, it did, and then it was easy to remove. It also tends to leave residual fur on clothing if you swipe it in the "wrong" direction. Reversing direction picks that up again. So it's decent enough, though I'm not sure it's better than a tape roller. Time will tell, and I'll update this review, if necessary.

Starting with the good, this works great to pick up dog hair off furniture! it actually worked better than I had expected.however, for the bad, the thumb button that is supposed to slide down to unlock the cover is stuck in the closed position (tried to force it by jamming a small screw driver into the slide, and still could not move it). you can still squeeze the cover over the button's nub, but feels like it will eventually break the hinge forcing it over time. Then on first use, one of the decorative end caps popped off.
