I am not new to working on cars, but to be honest I had to modify this rack to fit on my 2022 Passport. The rack was snug to say the least and had great trouble sliding in the rails. With that being said, it was not a problem for me to trim it down and get it sitting into place. This is not a rack to remove and install per trip. Install it and leave it there.I had to cut the aluminum rail, drill, tap a secondary screw, and really wedge it into place.Took about an hour for me…Good quality product, if you can tinker and problem solveLessons learned.-2022 passport: remove the plastic from the seal up. The top shiny piece is screwed to the base of the lower plastic. A good plastic pry tool and a good yank will get it off.-make sure the wing nut washers are seated in the square chamber before sliding the rail in.-it is a snug fit even after trimming a 1/4 inch off one side. I do believe there is a slight flex in the rails and trimming would not be needed. However two rubber mallets will be needed to slide the rails on.- 2022 passport has dimple dots to line up the rack in the right spot. Line the dimple up to the center line- ever few inches make sure the wingnuts arenot to loose but not tight. If the wingnut falls out of the retaining washer…well you have to back the whole thing out and start all over.

Didn't even get the first rail onto the vehicle. Just test fitting the first rail and the low grade plastic failed. Glad it happened on the installation before put into use.Unless you love returning products and frustration, avoid this.

I got these so that I could put a roof basket on and they were perfect. It’s a little difficult to figure out how to put them on because you have to take parts off of the car but once we figured it out, it was actually pretty easy. It comes with some tools of its own, but if you’re doing a two-man job, you might need more tools. It’s extremely sturdy as I have tested it out with a lot of weight on it.

Installed on 2024 Passport Black. I was initially unable to get the brackets to slide into the rails with the screws that attach the crossbars to the side brackets in, even loosely. I had to remove them completely first and then was able to slide the brackets in. Once installed on the roof it is very difficult to get all those screws in but the rails are very secure with a tight fit.The dimensions of the crossbars… width:3 1/2” and height 3/4” height. I was unable to find this info in the listing or reviews and it is helpful when selecting compatible carriers.Seems to be of solid build quality.

Excellent enhancement to the truck and a lot less expensive than the dealer. I was surprised it was available after all these years. Looks like a perfect OE fit, easy to install and solid enough to carry my 2 kayaks so far.
