This is a heavy duty wooden stool that looks great and is easy to assemble. I am going to give it a nice rubbed tung oil finish as the wood has a light wax finished as received. The stool is going in our kitchen for general purpose use, sitting while working at the counter or setting a big pot on while clear space on the counter or as home to a house plant. It is very stable and looks like it will last a long time.

I have a heavy plastic collapsible step stool to reach my top shelves. The plastic feet sometimes slide on the floor. I like this stool because it won't move around; it's a dense, I'm guessing, rubberwood. I got the small 12" height and that's plenty tall for my purposes. The surface is described as having a natural wax finish. It's smooth with a matte finish, not glossy.It comes un-assembled, with 4 bolts, a hex key, and an instruction sheet. My first attempt was to insert the leg into the underside, then try to bolt it on. I nixed that plan because I couldn't easily find the hole for the bolt.The bolt holes are not directly perpendicular to the edge, so I found it's better to insert the bolt into the leg, find the predrilled hole, then finally insert the dowel part of the leg into the seat bottom.The price is a tad spendy for a stool, but it is all wood and very sturdy.

I was actually looking for something like my existing Ikea SKOGSTA stool, which they discontinued selling in my area. I purchased this stool because it looked similar, but little did I realize that it was exactly the same, down to the dimensions, assembly, instructions, and quality. Ikea likely just rebranded this chair, and I bought another after receiving it.

I have several of these stools in my classroom for my teacher table. Perfect for my second grade students to sit on and for me to use as a step stool when hanging things around the classroom! They also store easily by stacking!

This is a nice stool but like another reviewer said the 4 screws that attach the legs to the top are way too long. I had to cut them down to 1-1/2 inches. If they can't supply the correct hardware they should include a hack saw with the shipment.
