The parts is an accurate reproduction. It fits perfectly and operated well for about a week. By the end of week two it was squeaking loudly and so difficult to operate that it felt like I was going to break off the handle.

Installed replacement part and while adding faucet handle, stem from part unscrewed. Not a problem, add Loctite red to keep the stem threaded in part. Turned the water on after putting the faucet all together and black-colored water started running from the faucet. Why would a plastic part have crap in it? The crud clogged up the aerator of the faucet and I still have leaking. Now I need a new aerator and RP50587.

Do Not Buy. Crappy Knock-Off item. Purchased Cartridge for Delta Kitchen Faucet. Worked for a day. Learn during process that Delta offers Life-Time replacement on their Cartridges.

For some time my faucet was difficult to turn off completely unless I hit the perfect spot. We replaced the part and now it's good as new.

Cartridge was easy to replace and works great for significantly less cost. No more drippy faucet. If product has longevity issues, I’ll provide and update but so far, I highly recommend this replacement part.

Good product, however if you find your kitchen faucet unusable, due to a leak around the handle, try this temporary fix until your new RP50587 cartridge arrives. 1) Shut off the isolation valves beneath the sink and place handle in full open position to ensure shut off. 2) Using a 3/32” Allen wrench, loosen the lever retaining screw sufficiently to remove the handle, by pulling upward. 3) Unscrew the cartridge retention, cover and pull out cartridge. 4) carefully remove the orange seal at the bottom of the cartridge, turn it over and play Back in the appropriate position, making sure it is fully seated. 5) Carefully reassemble the faucet in reverse order. 6) Open the isolation valves and check the Fossett for leaks.
