Our engineers reviewed the stock front bulkhead and found something curious. The stock front bulkhead does not sit flat, which can seriously affect suspension settings and adjustments! The RPM front bulkhead sits flawlessly level, meaning your front kick angle and A-arm angles will be perfect, providing a superior platform for precise suspension adjustments. We also cored out the bottom of the bulkhead. Why? First and foremost, it helps the bulkhead sit flat. Next, it significantly reduces the weight of the bulkhead. Our version is more that 15% lighter* than stock! By coring out the bottom of the bulkhead, it allows a convenient place to stick some modeling clay to adjust the weight bias of the truck. Leave the weight out if you want the front light; Add it in if you want it heavier. We also Include a handy dust plate to cover the bottom of the bulkhead on vehicles such as the Rustler, Stampede and Bandit that leave the bottom exposed. The dust plate prevents build-up of dirt and debris, which could affect the handling and weight of the truck. Bought this years ago to fix my rc truck after I split it in half hitting a brick mail box going 40mph (not scale speed). Still haven’t broken this one

This part is so much tougher then the OEM part. It bolts directly in pace of the OEM part. It has a "trap door" on the bottom of it in case you want to put modeling clay in it to add a light weight to the front end of your truck. I've replaced all of my Rustler and Slash 2wd Bulkhead's with RPM parts. They do sell it in different colors but black was what I wanted for my Slash's color scheme. I have yet to break any of them on any truck even with crazy landings or cartwheel crash's.

Perfect black replacement for the stock bulkhead on my Traxxas Slash 2wd. Looks are just as important as winning to me.

If you need an additional bulkhead for any reason, just buy this one. It is a better design than Traxxas stock by far... but I have yet to break a stock bulkhead, either. I just needed an additional one for a new build. So this went into the front of my heavily abused basher with no issues, and the old one went to my new build.
