I wanted a better suspension fork than the original one on my bike, and one that had a disc brake mount. I liked this one until it broke two months in. Both dropouts failed - these are aluminum so they don’t bend or otherwise show fatigue, they just crack and fall apart. If I didn’t have a torque arm on my tire would have completely fallen out while I was riding it. I have only been using this for city riding, not mountain trails yet. I saw other comments that people used this on an ebike, so I thought it would be okay for mine too. But even with the torque arm the dropouts failed. Disappointing.

When doing my search on multiple sites for a "new" 1" fork, the RST/Capa was the only one I found.I gave a 5 star because they're a great value at the current price at or around $78. I recently put these on a 1994 Trek mountain bike with a 1" head tube. These are not for aggressive riding, but they do provide an upgraded, smoother ride than the original rigid forks.

Quizás vas a necesitar hacer más rosca, aproximadamente 2". Tenerlo en consideración.

Recently decided to get back into bicycling with my wife and stepson, quickly found out her old steelframe Royce Union wasn't up to running with our newer Aluminum-frame bikes. Bought her a 700c hybrid for longer paved rides, and decided to update old reliable for trail duty. Her wrists are prone to getting sore when riding, ergo grips help, but i decided ditching the rigid fork would help more, especially as it's now more of dedicated off-roader. Being a 20 year old JIS bike, 1" threaded suspension forks aren't real common, and i didn't want to spend the money to convert everything to threadless standard. This fork, and an Origin8 threaded headset, let me smooth out the ride for her with a minimum of fuss. Kept the old bar, quill, twist shifters and all. It's definitely not a high-end, high-featured fork; its rather basic and somewhat softly sprung. But for my purpose, namely minimizing the punishment to her hands and wrists without braking the bank or completely rebuilding the bike, it's great.A switch to lower-end Shimano Acera V-brakes and some old-fashioned tune up work, and the old ride is a fairly competent XC performer on the dry, rocky hardpack trails of our Eastern Washington hometown.

Great front end. Had to add a few threads but no big deal.

nice looking fork. I haven't had a chance to install it on my trike yet and am hoping the rake is going to work. Quality looks great for the price.

So other people know, the "200mm-50mm" bit means that the length of the steerer tube is 200mm from the top of the fork to the end of the steerer tube, and the 50mm means that the top-most 50mm of steerer tube is threaded. So, if your headset stack is less than 150mm from the top-most part of the fork (where the bottom headset bearings rest) to the top where your stem disappears into the crown nut, this fork won't work for you without taking it to a bike or machine shop for more threads to be cut. Also, the notch for the lock washer will also have to be ground lower. One more thing - there is no crown race seat on this fork. Not sure how the crown race - which the bottom headset bearings rest on - is supposed to be mounted on this fork. I guess you have to have a headset made for a fork like this one. I know mine wouldn't have worked.
