I ordered this thinking it would be really a cool gadget to have. What I got is exactly what was described. It is what it is. For me though I realize it is solving a problem I didn't really have. That said it works like it is supposed to I just don't really have a need for it like I thought I would. I will update this review if that changes. So that is the only reason I gave 4 stars. I just don't think I will use it like I thought but that is not the hoist's fault.

The functionality of this product does what it's supposed to do though it is made of mostly plastic and the line on it feels like a dog leash. It is easy to use though. It is a hand crank product. I was hoping it would have batteries at least but it does not for the value. I think it could be a tad cheaper, but it does come in handy for certain things. I will certainly find a use for it I don't know about the durability. I don't think it would hold very much weight. You might want to get a better clamp on there at the end. That might help make a world of difference. I think for the price it could have been made with better product. The size of it is perfect though. It is small enough to go on your belt and does have a belt clip and you can stick it in the backpack as well. I would recommend but not for anything too too heavyI would say it could lift a rifle and maybe a backpack but I wouldn't put a backpack over 80 lb on this line. Maybe not even that much

Bought this for my son and we tested it out on his bow. Very hard to crank the bow up. He will keep it and see if he can use it once he's in his stand, but be prepared if you buy this that it could not work as easy as you hoped.

It a simple design that's quite.Tried this for the first time, hooked it to my harness, hooked it to my bow and climbed up. When all set in the tree I pulled the bow up hand over hand letting the slack fall. This is exactly what I want.Recommend！
