For the previous reviews giving less than 5 stars because of noise while driving…duh. Why would you expect there to be no noise when the window is not all the way shut. I do agree with the one woman’s review…doesn’t have screens on the back so insects can still get in which is the only flaw this product has. That’s why I took a star off

This window vent plate is nice, has a good shape, and is very light, the one thing I find a problem is on the inside of the plate, it has the vents opened and anything can go through the vents, such as insects, spiders or even small snakes, it should have had a screen mesh type of material to keep all of that out of the vehicle, I will be modifying that aspect myself as I don't want any surprises in my truck, craftsmanship is very good and the finish does look on the cheap side, besides that it is a very good product, very solidly made, fits nice and tight in its place.

I live in the southeast US where humidity and rain are daily occurrences from May through September. I prefer to keep my windows cracked to let the hot air ventilate a little, but the threat of afternoon storms prevents that most days. But I don't really like the look of the window "hoods" that keep the rain out, so when I came across these window louver vents, I was pretty excited to give it a try.The good:These fit perfectly on the rear windows of my GMC Sierra, with a tight fit in the seal of the windowThe ventilation on a hot, humid afternoon helps clear that heat out quickly when I get back inThey look pretty cool when installedThese are very well made, high quality, with an excellent powder coat to provide good grip when handlingThe less than ideal:My preference is to leave these installed, but with the open vents, this naturally creates a lot of road noise while driving, especially at highway speeds.To address the noise, these kind of should be installed/removed every trip. That wouldn't be too bad, except you of course need to have power on to raise/lower the windows. This makes them slightly less convenient than I would've hoped.Overall I'm happy with these and will continue to use them. I should've realized they would make noise though. The listing doesn't explicitly talk about driving with these installed, but it doesn't discourage it either. For this reason, I've reduced the rating because it gives a false impression of the full utility of these while driving.
