I needed a "landing pad" for doing heavy weight lifting for my home gym, and these are great for that. Note that the 1 inch thickness includes the crenelated pattern on the bottom. The material appears to be recycled rubber pellets bonded together. More than adequate for my purposes, but might start pilling or wearing down with heavy use.

I purchased several of the tiles around a year ago for a gym in my basement to go over concrete. Like other reviews have said, the connectors are worthless.After trying to install one I decided just lay the tiles in place. Even thought they are not connected, they are so heavy they never slip. They are expensive, but not outrageous when you consider other types of flooring (like wood, tile or linoleum) and the requiring underlayment. These takes far less time to lay down (none). If there were any water problems, they can easily be moved until its dry.I havent seen any evidence of wear or aging of any kind. They look the same as when I bought them.

It's a nice thick rubber feels solid but the color green they show is way off.It's almost black I had to re check and see if i had orderd the green ones and i had.It's an overall great productthe color was just really dissapointing i had to return it.

These are good, solid tiles. I hoped these would be a bit softer, because we are using them under a jungle gym. But they are still good. Make sure you have the pieces to connect them.
