I upgraded my 1999 TJ to 32” tires, which threw my speedometer off by about 5 Mph. So, I changed my oem 30 tooth gear to this 26 tooth gear. It is an easy install just requiring a 13mm socket. Just make sure you align the tooth marking on the speedometer sensor case with the notch or dot on the case. Otherwise your Speedo will not register any movement. I found this out the hard way, so hoping to help someone else out and save them some grief.

IMPORTANT Worked perfectly. Easy to install. Just remember to align the embossed numbers on the plastic transfer case mould or you’ll lose power steering.

We have 35” tires and our 2006 TJ with 6 speed manual. The speedometer was off about 12 MPH - when going 60 MPH, you were actually going 72 MPH. I originally put a 29 tooth gear on because it was what a forum suggested and it didn’t make a difference. I went to the 26 teeth gear and now the difference is negligible. When going 35 MPH or slower, it’s about right now. When the speedometer says 70 MPH we’re actually doing 74 MPH. Close enough for me. Oh, and super easy to install. I think it was one 1/2” nut and an electrical connection.

I have an 04 TJ Sport with factory 3.07 gears. My 33 inch KM3 tires threw off my speedometer but this did the trick to correct it. Arrived quickly and easy install.

Set my speedo perfectly. Went to a 255/75R17 (32”) on my 2004 Jeep TJ with 3.07 gears. Now speedometer is correct.

The product was as described and fit perfect. Removal of the original piece was a little more difficult than expected but only due to it never having been swapped out. Once removed, inserted the new piece. Tested it out in the highway and the speedo is now perfect on speed after my upgrade to 33” tires.

You need to know your gear ratio and tire size before buying so you can get the right one. It went in easy enough, took less than 5 minutes and the speed synced up with the gps just fine. So far so good.

Very easy fix for an incorrect speedometer after putting on larger tires. This product looked oem quality and did the trick. Took 5 minutes to install. Make sure you order the o ring too. Mine was crushed and not reusable.
