On unpacking this product we found a large hole in the netting which makes it virtually useless for baseball practice

I purchased the Rukket 7x7 Baseball & Softball Practice Hitting Net PRO for my daughter and her Fastpitch Softball Team. It is simple and easy to set up. It takes approximately 30 seconds to set up, and less time to take down. The net holds up well on windy days. The frame is very durable and arched at base to prevent corrosion. The net is durable and haves a large pocket to catch balls. The frame and net can be comparible to the Bow Net. This package was bundled with 3 Training Balls. The training balls are weighted. The construction of the training balls are very similar to the Total Control TCB 74 and/or 82 Balls. Great for teaching and developing strength and solid hits. This product was also bundled with a Strike Zone. The strike zone attaches to the frame with ease. My daughter enjoys using to practice aiming. It have nine open slots. The strick zone material is very durable. Lastly it comes with a durable bag to hold the frame, net, balls and strike zone in. Our experience with this product has been great. We have no complaints. I spent some time researching several products out there prior to my purchase. I thought I would give Rukket a try. I am very glade I did. I received a quality product at an affordable price. It came with a Lifetime Warranty. Which I thought was a great bonus. Most products out there these days do not give that type of warranty anymore. Proud to support a quality USA product.

After about an 8 year hiatus, I am attempting to get back into competitive baseball again. Without a partner to play with on a regular basis, I decided a net would be a good way to get in my practice alone. I didn't want to spend a whole lot of money, so I designed frames out of cast iron pipe & pvc. However, after pricing out my material cost, it was going to be quite a bit more expensive than I thought, & it would be bulky & or heavy to set up and break down all the time.. That lead me to purchasing this net, as it seems to be priced well compared to some of the other options out there. It's a plenty big target at 7'x7', perfect for throwing into from any distance, hitting off a tee or playing soft toss. The 'bag' in the center is nice for collecting the balls as well. It's very easy to set up and take down, it only takes a few minutes each and it all fits nicely into the provided bag for transportation. The 3 weighted balls are pretty nice too. They feel like a thick rubber ball partially filled with sand. At 1 pound each, they're good for warming up and aren't too heavy. Apparently they can be used for hitting too, but I am hesitant that I'll bust one open sooner or later. Other reviews are right in that when hit, the balls give instant feedback on if you've hit it squarely or not, and they only go about 25 yards at most.I can't speak for longevity yet, as I have only had it for a couple weeks, but the netting itself feels pretty sturdy. The second day I used the net, an elastic strap that holds one of the lower corners broke after being struck by a baseball on a hop. That was pretty disappointing to say the least. That night I sent an email to Rukket asking for a replacement elastic strap because it would be very simple to replace. The next morning they replied to my email asking for a picture of the broken part & my shipping address, and they had a brand new net in the mail by that afternoon. So in conclusion, I like the net, customer service has been top notch, and Rukket seems like a stand up company. If my experience differs in the future I may come back to update this review.

This review is for the 5x5 net:UPDATE: 2 seasons passed, and this net is still holding up strong. Have had other coaches parents come up and ask about it seeing how portable it is, and how quick and easy it is to setup/breakdown. Looking at buying the 7x7 now.ORIGINAL REVIEW:Awesome net so far! I've only used it in one practice so far, but the net is awesome! It's lightweight, sets up/breaks down in less than 2 minutes, comes with a removable strike zone, and lost in importance is a LARGE bag to put everything in after breakdown. A lot of bags "just fit" the equipment, causing you time and grief to fold it the right way to get it back in the bag. Not this one. I honestly think I could fit 2 of these nets and their poles in one bag if I tried.I thought the net might need weights on the legs to hold it down, but it withstood my pitchers pitching 40-50mph fastballs at it with no problem whatsoever. One thing to note, the detachable strikezone comes off if hit squarely. I have it properly mounted at the top and the bottom, but when my pitchers hit it instead of going through one of the 9 holes, it would pop off. To remedy this, I removed the loops at the bottom, wrapped the bottom cords around the side poles once, and then reattached on the bottom hook. I could have easily tightened the top fasteners more, but this resulted in raising the height of the strike zone to an unrealistic level. Wrapping the bottom allowed the strike zone to stay in a more realistic strike zone area. My only recommendation would be that the bottom cords also be adjustable as well to allow for maximum customization to suite ones needs.Overall though, awesome net, awesome price, and an amazing company. So far a great product. It tears down to a small bag which is nice for getting into any vehicle (not the case with all). It's quick and easy set up/tear down (better than the ones the league provides). Great compliment to practice as well; less time shagging=more time hitting. Lives in the garage (set up) all week so the kids can mash a few balls in exchange for some TV/ipad time ;-) . We'll be working on throwing this week. Will be great for working on a confident throw. At the little ages, catching is an issue so throwers often go easy. With the net, they can hum it in there. Looking forward to making a game out of the included pitching target. Only regret is not getting the taller one. Don't anticipate any durability issues, but will share if so. (It's taken a few soccer ball shots without blinking as well!)
