I ordered this for my Honda PCX. When it worked correctly , it was nice. but randomly, sometimes it would double the rpm reading. I tried rerouting the pick up wire to the spark plug and even tried 2 different units but had the same results. It was nice that you could turn on a backlight when you needed it. If the erratic readings could be fixed, it would be a nice unit.

It reads out your rpm and has other functions. The first one lasted all of about a week and had to be returned because it wasn’t as waterproof as it claimed (moisture got under the screen and stopped working). The second one goes through a battery within a few days even if you manually turn it off (new name brand battery, low battery warning in 45 mins, another brand new battery same thing then it takes a few days to finish dying). Installation is quick and easy (I installed on a dual-sport motorcycle). But if I’m gonna keep having to buy a new CR2032 battery each week I might as well have spend the money on an expensive one. No value for the saving.

I use this on my Yamaha 9.9 outboard. Easy to install great information to track for maintenance interval. I chose to keep my mounted inside of the engine cover.

I got this to check my rpm on the highway in my kei truck which didn't come with a tachometer from the factory. The packaging was adequate and it came with everything you need to set it up.To install it you simply need to wrap the signal wire around a spark plug wire and set the settings to your engine ( 4 stroke, 3 cylinder in my case). After reading the instructions it states that if your rpm reading isn't right, your supposed to just reduce or increase the number of loops around the spark plug wire, my question is how the hell are you supposed to know if the rpm reading is right if youre installing this to read rpm? Whether it's on my car or a lawn mower, there's no way to even verify it's set up right. My other giant issue that makes this completely useless for my application is the interference the wiring receives. If I run the wiring along the body of the car, which you would do if you didn't intend to have the gauge sit on top of the engine where it wouldn't be of any use, the signal grounds itself on the body because there is no shielding on the wire. This lack of shielding also causes the gauge to not read as the engine is revving even without the cable touching the frame of the car.So a cable that is too short for automotive use, no way to install the device to read accurately, and no way to mount the device to not have the signal wire receive electrical interference makes this quite literally a waste of 20$.

Ich messe bei meinen tuning Motoren die Drehzahl. Funktioniert bis 20000 u/min perfekt und dann steigt die Messung aus. Der Wert wird gespeichert bis man ihn zurücksetzt.

Rpm worksWhen engine is running unit flashes off and on and sometimes it just turns on not displaying anything.Left it in the generator for an hour and it doesn’t count hours.

I have a 4-cycle Honda CL125S. This works as advertised and was easy to setup. Has screw hole on the back so you can mount it on the handle bars. Battery is easily replaceable.

hallopositiv: es funktioniert auch wenn ie drehzahlinfo doch bemerkbar etwas später kommt.minus: beleuchtung nur wenn man auf den menubutton drückt und dann 1sec.beleuchtung eingeschalten lassen -batterie nach 3tagen leer.kabel zu kurz.befestigung:musste ein alublech beim spiegel machen das ich dann mit der spiegelmutter am sockel festschraubte.an den armaturen keine gerade fläche.bis alles passte war ich ca. 3h dran.kabel durcch alle verkleidungen durch sdass man nichts sieht.kabel verlängern-3-5 mal um das zündkerzenkabel wickeln-ich habs dann mit isolierband umwickelt das es hält.

I use this product when fishing to measure water temperature. It is cheaper than thermometers sold for fishermen. Also, this digital device is much easier to read than analog thermometers.

Like everything about it, reads my 07’ 25hp Yamaha 2 cycle perfect. And has nice bright green lit screen when on and measures Tach. Top rev and holds highest rev, which can be reset. Very nice for checking propeller pitch with different props. Only downside is it’s really only splash proof but for 22$ what more can I expect? I wrapped mine in plastic and taped it to the front handle lift, as Pictured. This is my second one, the first is on my 4stroke 9.9honda; That works just as well. I recommend not purchasing the cheaper black ones for around 12$, with no backlight and unreplaceable battery… those are pretty flakey; your tachometer will not read very well with those.
