These are LED lights casting a pleasant blue light. I used them on my 48 vdc golf cart. At night it was very difficult to put the cart key into the key slot, there being no light on the dash. Now there are 3. One near the key hole, one on the right side of the dash lighting up the two USB receptacles and the third one inside the main glove box. The housing of the LED light is gloss black. They have two wires, red and black. The wires are very light guage, almost like hairs, and a bit hard to strip and fasten. I had to redo some of the connections to get the thin wires to make the connections. They are connected to the headlight switch so that the blue LEDs come on when the headlights come on. I'm quite happy with these little lights and how they have improved our nighttime operation of the golf cart.

The light is being used as a license plate light for my motorcycle. It is bright and heavy duty for my purpose. The light is well built.

I already have these that I bought years ago. The hardware including thr threads are not rust proof. Mine is rusted solid. I bought this replacement and replaced the hardware with galvanized washers and wing nuts. There's nothing I can do about the threads. The wire is too thin and should be a thicker guage. Also its very cheap and delicate. I lost about 5 inches in length repeatedly trying to strip the ends. Use good quality strippers and be careful. I then used the small quick connect male/female type connectors and sealed those with shrink tubing. The lights themselves are good. Just everything else is low quality. I think with the changes I made, thdy should be oksy now.

I actually only used one light for my motorcycle. 2012 Yamaha FX6R already had a small slot just in front of the plate so I enlarged / created a hole to insert the light. This hid the wire within the tail section of the bike and lit up the entire plate. The light is hardly visible during the day. One of these would work fine for a motorcycle plate even if installed in place of a screw as intended.

Did the trick but not supper impressed. I’ve got an old truck and the plate light is long gone. Why mess around trying to find the bracket, bulb and repair the wire?Slam these little lights in place of the plate screws and your done! Well be sure to wire them as well. LolThey are not super bright and that’s good. They do sit very close to the plate so it’s light from directly above or below and not towards the plate. So it’s not a great illumination of the plate.Does it work? Yes!Did it make me legal? Yes!Downsides? Not really.Fair price and easy install for an old pickup with no light.

These little lights work pretty well. I had to resort to them because I switched to a an axle-mount license plate bracket (previous owner destroyed the under-tail; no mounting, there). I find them to to walk the fine line of being sufficiently bright without being obnoxious. The only gripe I have about them (as with all license plate bolt lights) is that the wiring is too short, requiring me to splice in a little extra to make the connection without pulling anything too tight. Aside from that, they're good at what they do.Pros:- Good light output- Easy installation- Reasonably pricedCons:- Could use more wiring- Mildly to moderately annoying if you ever have to remove or switch out your license plateConclusion:Not a bad choice at all for plate lighting, especially if your state requires such for inspections.

I was really surprised with these things.... both good and bad. First off, for the money, you can't go terribly wrong. The shipping was super quick.... I got them in no time. Obviously, a very easy item to install. If you're unfamiliar with how it works, you connect the wires to the wires that were previously going to the stock license plate light(s).The lights are really bright. I'm actually really impressed. I positioned both slightly inward and the plate shines!I wasn't impressed with the black plastic housings of the light, however. It seems to be the type of plastic that could potentially crack if overtorqued while screwing or possibly break while you're bumping around doing maintaince on your bike. The fit and finish of the housings don't inspire confidence, however the performance of the little lights and the great price definitely outweigh that flaw. If I was the manufacturer, I would switch plastics... maybe something with a matte finish. We will see how these things hold up over time when exposed to the elements.
