As advertised, stainless steel gauge is heavier than most other brands.Bottom of sink is not only coated for sound deadening, but the bottom of each bowl also has a thick rubber pad for the same purpose.Bowls, although not measured, are obviously deeper than the standard sink we replaced.Finish of metal is very good throughout.Sink includes two deep drain baskets to be assembled (use a lot of plumbers putty to fill concave rim), two easily removable basket strainers, two metal and rubber stoppers, two decorative drain covers (not sure of use for these), and two perfectly fitted racks with rubber feet to for inside the bowls.Slight critiques are that the faucet holes hole appears to be slightly smaller than normal, and to the cap for the sprayer/ soap dispenser hole does not tighten down evenly. Also, believe the instructions that warm that the edges are sharp!Excellent product and great value.

Updated after a week of use. The problem I described below got noticeably better after about a week. The sink still has a couple issues. The divider between the bowls and the rim of the sink are completely flat, which means that if you spill water on the center bar (easy to do when moving the faucet around) it doesn't go back into the sink, but spills out onto the counter. My sink in the garage has a barely noticeable ridge on the lip that keeps this from happening. I think the designers are so focused on sleek lines that they forget these things are actually used, not just looked at. But all in all, it's a pretty nice sink. LOVE the size.------------------------------OriginalI love the look and size of this sink, but the bottoms are so flat that a LOT of water doesn't drain, and sits there in puddles. I guess I'll just have to get used to it, but I've never seen so much water sitting in the bottom of a sink before. I sure don't like it, and would not buy this again. Not worth pulling it out and returrning it, but sure wish I had made a different choice. It seems to be really good quality. Maybe it will get smoother or something with use. I sure hope. It is an absolutely awful sight right now! If it gets better, I would change my review.

We swapped out a shallow cast iron sink for the Ruvati.Pros:Packaging was impressive. No dings or crimps as had read about.Ability to choose off-set double basin: this was a big "plus" for us, as we needed the smaller basin on the right hand side of the sink; other products only had one layout available.Size and depth of basins: The larger basin easily fits a 12" skillet, cookie sheets, roasting pans. The depth mitigates the "splash effect" using a shallow basin. The smaller basin will hold a small dish rack, which was needed due to lack of counter space.Accessories included: strainers, covers and floor racks were included. The strainers are a little slow to drain, but they work.East of installation: Installation took about 3 hours with only 1 trip to the hardware store for a piece of plumbing pipe. Instructions were clear.Cons: Basin floor scratches easily, but it's a kitchen sink and designed to be put through tough use, not a piece of fine furniture. Could use the sink racks, but they are annoying.

The store from which I was buying my new granite countertop did not have any decent sinks with the drop-in design I wanted, which left me to buy my own sink. (Yes, I guess I am the only person in the entire country that wants a drop-in sink with granite.) I searched like crazy for a good quality stainless steel sink that was still affordable. I tried Kohler, but even after ordering six sinks, I still could not get one without damage. So, finally decided to try this Ruvati, and so glad I did!!! They do a beautiful job packing their sinks, and it arrived in absolutely perfect condition. The granite people handled installing the sink in the counter and plumber installed the drain, so I cannot comment about installation, but neither complained, so I assume it was not difficult.I have been using the Ruvati for several weeks now, and am thrilled with it!! Functionally, it is fantastic. I have used both double bowl sinks and large single bowl sinks. Of course, it depends upon how one does dishes, but I like two separate bowls -- one for dirty, one for clean -- and, even though I liked the extra room a single bowl offers for large items, I didn't like the mingling my clean/dirty dishes. Since the bowls are so huge in this sink, I never miss a large single bowl, and with the lowered centered divide, it functions, more or less, as a single bowl for big items since they are fully inside the sink. The included racks were a happy bonus!! They are very heavily made, and work great for setting my clean dishes. As far as looks goes, this sink is beautiful. The thick rim is substantial, but not too wide. If it has spots that don't want to wipe away, I use Bar Keepers Friend on it, and it looks like new again!Overall, I am super happy with my Ruvati sink!!! I would buy it again and recommend it to a friend :)!!!!
